1. Much ado was made about some of Donald Trump’s comments to the Republican Jewish Coalition. All of it was complete utter bullshit as you will soon see below. However, looking at the two articles I have linked to in this paragraph, the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr felt that exactly the wrong things were emphasized.
For example, the second article begins with the following sentence:
“The Jewish donors gathered Thursday had two demands of the Republican presidential candidates who’d come to speak to them: unambiguous support for Israel and respect.”
Sounds like a Jewish mafia meeting now doesn’t it? But more interestingly is that these extremely powerful and rich Jews didn’t have the United States on their agenda, they had Israel on their agenda. Gee, maybe our press, most of which is owned by Islamofacists, might have wanted to ask these people about this gross conflict of interest.
Could you imagine if CAIR had such a meeting with political hopefuls and insisted that they place the interests of any Muslim nation ahead of the interests of the United States? But I digress.
The article also points out:
“The primary benefactor of the Republican Jewish Coalition is casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who spent more on the 2012 federal elections than any other donor. “
Adelson is an outright traitor. He even stated that he regrets serving in the US military instead of in Israel’s military. He also wants his son to be an Israeli sniper – by definition a murderer of Palestinians. He owns “Israel Today”, the largest circulating paper in Israel – it is to the right of the racist Jabatinsky.
And this little quote really got our beaks out of joint. (Note to Shas Party members, red highlighting is by today’s guest editor, Vladimir Putin.)
“Regardless of his relationship with donors, Trump’s comments mark a sharp contrast from his Republican rivals who pledged unconditional allegiance to Israel. Several candidates blasted him from the stage.”
“Unconditional” is a most interesting word. Let’s give it a sort of literal Wahhabi-like interpretation. If their support for Israel is unconditional then that must mean that they will support Israel against the interests of the United States. Therefore Israel can do absolutely anything it wants (like attack a US military ship and kill or injure two-thirds of its crew) and get away with it because these candidates support Israel unconditionally. So this is not a US election, it is an Israeli one. Of course most of readers of this blog already know this.
Maybe we could all benefit here in these United States from a study of the Wahhabi conception of al-wala’ wal-bara’, but again I digress.
2. What is the Republican Jewish Coalition? Dumb-ass Fox-News-Watching Americans might want to know. First of all, the RJC has one hell of a sense of humor. Kind of nice really. The quote below is from their statement of principles – itself a contraction in terms.
“Imagine a world without American strength – what would it be? All of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa could be under Nazi or Communist rule. America would be alone and the rest of the world would be in darkness.”
Holy shit, I’ve never seen the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr laugh so loud in my life. They just keep saying it over and over again. As I type this I am almost awash in feathers that have become dislodged by their non-stop belly laughs. Oh, and Vlady, who by the way is a lot of fun to drink with, could not help but highlight both sentences between shots.
Anyway, as is usually the case with RJC-like outfits, their number one issue is Israel – just as the first quote in this post from the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post indicates. This is also from their “principles” document:
Policies We Vigorously Support
We fully embrace a pro-Israel foreign policy. The RJC is a Jewish organization; we recognize and support the importance of Israel as a Jewish state to Jews and non-Jews worldwide.
Their board of directors has some pretty damn interesting names including that of the Canadian citizen who was allowed to work in the White House and who coined the phrase axis of evil. And we now can see what that led to.
Hold on just a second. I’ll be back in a minute, some Syrian refugees are knocking on my door. I’ve got some hummus and falafel to give them. (Home-made with ingredients imported from Palestinians living in Nablus.)
3. Okay, I’m back. So Trump got these Jewish billionaires into a zionist hissy fit because he said a couple of things they didn’t like. It’s a fraud. Utter bullshit. Makes Trump look independent. He ain’t.
Let’s go to the Times of Israel, another Israeli daily that caters to people who are (very) slightly to the left of Netanyahu. This great piece tells us some very interesting things about Trumpy and his relationship with Israel.
The title is quite catchy and simple enough that even a Shas Party member can understand it:
When it comes to Jewish ties, no GOP candidate trumps Trump
And yes, Vlady insisted on putting the title in red, but only because it is in red in the original piece.
The article opens with these two paragraphs.
Among the expansive field of Republican presidential candidates on display in the party’s first debates Thursday night, Donald Trump may be the most closely connected to the Jewish people.
Trump is from New York, works in professions saturated with Jews and long has been a vocal supporter of Israel. His daughter and two grandchildren are Jewish, the executive vice president of his organization is Jewish — and Trump certainly has chutzpah.
The article points out that Trump does not need money from Jewish donors because of his wealth but the thrust of it is that this lack of a need for such funding will have nothing to do with his complete and total support of Israel.
Why? Well let’s take a look-see.
Given his myriad Jewish associations, Trump is not an unfamiliar face in Jewish circles. He has served as a grand marshal at New York’s annual Salute to Israel Parade. After Hurricane Katrina, he was among a group of celebrities who decorated Jewish federation tzedakah boxes to be auctioned off to support hurricane disaster relief. And in February, he was honored with an award at the annual gala for the Algemeiner, a right-wing Jewish news organization.
Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, spoke at the Algemeiner gala about dear old dad:
“He is fundamentally somebody who believes that it’s his civic duty to speak his mind and often say what’s not popular and what others are afraid to,” she added. “He has used his voice often and loudly in support of Israel and in support of developments within Israel, in support of security for Israel and in support of the idea of Israeli democracy.”
Not to be outdone by his daughter in sucking up to the holy state, Trump said in his acceptance speech:
“We love Israel. We will fight for Israel 100 percent, 1,000 percent. It will be there forever.”
The Algemeiner’s own account of the event shows that it was nothing but a Zionist-Israeli love fest. Not only did Trump get an award, but so did the late and still hideous Joan Rivers who was represented by her daughter who may as well have been working for the Israeli embassy. The speaker of the Knesset, Yuli Edelstein, also was there to receive his award. Edelstein and Rivers received the “Warrior for Truth” (you can’t make this shit up) award. The most recent recipient of this bullshit award was Elie Wiesel, a frequent target of this blog. Wiesel also was the honorary Chair for the evening. The event was hosted by Heather Nauert of Fox News. (Did I mention that you can’t make this shit up?)
Survivors of Israel’s attack on the USS LIBERTY would no doubt be interested in hearing that Trump received the Algemenier’s “Liberty” award “for his contributions to US-Israel relations.”
The event also featured a film tribute to a radicalized American Jew who was killed during Israel’s recent murderous invasion of the Gaza strip.
In a moving address, Or Carmeli, the sister of IDF Sergeant Sean Carmeli, an American who was killed fighting in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge, thanked The Algemeiner for profiling her brother shortly after his death.
It’s been kind of hard to figure out just what it was that Trump did to get his “Liberty” award. Turns out I’m not the only who is unsure. A much better summary of the evening on the Mondoweiss blog notes that the reasons he got the award are “unclear.” The account is worth reading – even if you just read the first paragraph which is excellent.
4. Okay it’s video time. First let’s watch Trump accept his “Liberty” award. This short clip is very revealing. Very. Very.
And of course the clip below of this great “Warrior for Truth” is one of the all time favorites here at Mantiq al-Tayr. Warning, make sure you have a barf bag nearby. Very nearby. Very.
Okay, now that you have endured all that here is a reward. Discovered a new (to us) belly dancer. In this video she actually takes a spill. The comments show she has a sophisticated audience. She does good work. Enjoy.
