Tebow, the Rabbi and the Grand Mufti of Rhodes

1. Tim Tebow had Rabbi Joshua Hammerhead  Hammerman all in a tizzy because Tebow is a sort of in-your-face, but very polite and rather cuddly, Christian.  What I find much more interesting than Hammerman’s post, which by Zionist Jewish standards is actually quite moderate, is that the New York Jewish Week seems to have taken it off of its website since Hammerman managed to piss off just about everyone who read his silly little article – including pissing off the Israeli firsters at Fox News. Most of the 666 million negative articles about Hammerman’s post have this link that no longer takes you to the editorial.

However, Hammerman himself still has the article on his blog here.  But that link is to his blog itself and is not for the specific article, though right now you will find it there, missing  the most offensive passage that was in the original Jewish Week post. If you click on the title of the article on Hammerman’s blog you will get a message that he has removed the piece completely and has apologized.

Here is the most offensive quote that is gone from the article on his main site: (Note to Shas Party Members, Haifa Wehbe is back from editing Mark Dankof’s posts, al-hamdu lillah, and the red-highlighting is again hers. Did I say al-hamdu lillah?)

“If Tebow wins the Super Bowl, against all odds, it will buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants. While America has become more inclusive since Jerry Falwell’s first political forays, a Tebow triumph could set those efforts back considerably.”

Yeah, that was a dumb comment. I’d say it is about 1% percent as dumb as virtually everything that ALL of the Republican candidates have to say on any subject whatsoever (except Ron Paul, but he’s not really a Republican, he’s a human being, but I digress). And this is especially so when it comes to Islam about which almost anyone in the country can say the most vile things with no consequences whatsoever. At least Rabbi Hammerman is concerned about mosque burnings which is a hell of a lot more than I can say about a hell of a lot of people.

Anyway, I did some reading of some posts on Hammerman’s blog. Yes, he’s a Zionist.  He says tons of stuff as a result with which I strongly disagree and may one day make endless fun of.  But by Zionist standards he’s actually not so bad and he is willing to take some very critical looks at Zionism and Judaism.

I found this comment rather interesting from his post asking “Why do they hate us?”

“Golda Meir used to say that we will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.”
Maybe peace will also come when WE love their children too.

(Nice work Haifa, you do the highlights much better than I do. But I digress.)

(Note to Rabbi Hammeraman, peace will only come when YOU (plural) love their children too. Not one second before.)

And Haifa insisted I also put in the next quote which the Rabbi uses to explain his position above.

“We need to love their children not simply because showing empathy is a good political strategy – which it is – but because it is right, it is good, and it is the essence of our faith.

Later in this piece Hammerman tells the following story which I’d like to share with you. It’s about them there evil Moooooooselims that Fox News and many Christian Zionists hate so much.  It’s a pretty cool story. No red highlighting necessary.

“This past summer, while vacationing on the Island of Rhodes, Mara and I visited the old synagogue there, now beautifully reconstructed – though only a few dozen Jews remain. The museum there tells an important story. In September 1943, as the German military commanders took control of Rhodes, British aerial bombings caused much damage in the Jewish quarter. The Jews wished to protect their Torahs, among them an 800 year old scroll. In secret, the Torahs were given to the Turkish Moslem leader, the grand mufti of Rhodes, who agreed to house them in, of all places, the pulpit of his mosque! The following July, the Jews of Rhodes were deported to Auschwitz. Of the 1676 that were deported, only 151 survived. After the war, the Torahs were returned to the few who came back.

“But that’s not the end of the story. In 1971, the Grand Mufti confided to a long time Jewish friend, “One of the greatest moments of my life was when I was able to embrace the Torah, carry it and put it in the pulpit of the mosque – because we knew that no German would ever think that the Torahs were preserved in the pulpit of a mosque.”
(As you all can see, Haifa is just plain out of control. But at least she likes the story too.)

It  seems to me that Chrisitan Zionists are basically a bunch of pussies. They like to dish it out to others, especially them there evil rotten Moooooooselims who believe in Jesus Christ, but when they get their buttons pushed, well that’s just a different story now isn’t it?

I wonder if Hammerman hadn’t been against burning mosques if there would have been such an uproar?  He closes his “Why do they hate us?” post with a rather Christian message. Not that I expect most of the Zionist Christians to get it.

“No, they don’t all hate us. And in the end, it doesn’t really matter who hates us and why. All that matters is that we love. Why?
“Because we have been loved.
“V’ahavta! We WILL love.
Amen J0shua Hammerman, Amen.
But I am sure as hell going to root for Tim Tebow and the Broncos when they play New England this week. So there! But I digress.
2. This Haifa Wehbe video just gets better and better the further you get into it. Wish  Haifa were available for Tebow and he’d convert to Shi’ite Islam and marry her.
(Hey Tim, do you know who your Imam is?) 🙂

Teblow, Tim Teblow? Ziongelical suck-ass plays puss-ball for the Denver Flunkos? That Teblow?
Wait, is NFL Jebus gonna save the Teblow from a James Harrison sack in the playoffs?
If there is a just and loving “god” somewhere, anywhere, out there in the great and cosmic wilderness, that just and loving “god” will allow James Harrison to plant Timmy Teblow head first into that divine and “HOLY” NFL tundra and done will be done.
Fuck the Teblow! Christ on a crunchy Ritz cracker, where is the goddamn ‘rapture’ when enough is about enough…

  2. Hi Skulz,

Actually, given the choice, I’d rather see Von Miller lay one on Ben Rothlisberger – there’s a guy who needs a “come to Jesus” moment. At least if one’s daughter is out with Tebow, one would not have to worry quite so much.

  3. who converts? who remains?who dies and who is reborn?
into this world of darkness, the buddha’s light shines, guiding
living beings across the sea of suffering that is our world, to amitabha buddha’s land of ultimate bliss. escape the trap of love and hate! transcend heaven and hell. be here now! purify your own mind!

    Hi MT:
You make the excellent point. One certainly would NOT want a daughter out with Rothlisberger. Oh no. Why, that would probably be ‘steel’ date rape. Teblow might be safe, maybe, we’ll have to await the future “celebrity crime reports” from TMZ.

  5. Love this article…need MORE like them that show there IS some “common ground” among those who claim they follow different “religions”.

The Zio-NAZIs who THINK they run “the Jewish People” have a “problem” baked into their cake…namely “the Ten Commandments and the Basic Tenets of Judaism” which ALL “Jews” grow up knowing. The Rabbi in this article knows them as do most “common” Jews (like my next door neighbor and the ones I grew up with in L.A.). That is why “Jews” (like say Amy Goodman and Naomi Klein etc.) gravitate towards fixing “social problems”…the basic tenet of Judaism which is to make things better.

Indeed I am predicting that a LARGER percentage of “Jews” will have a “come to Jesus” moment in the next few months / years then any group in this fight.

  6. As for Tim Tebow? I AM a HUGE FAN…How can one NOT be a fan of a kid who has put “GOD” on the lips of every NFL commentator and analyst on TV…I laughed until I cried (with Joy) at the stuff said on ESPN last Sunday night (and all week long). How can you NOT love it when his head coach makes everyone stop before the post game interview so he can “Thank and Praise God”?

And ALL of this is happening in the city that IS “Satan Central” in the USA…the city that hosts the Satanic Air Force Academy with its “Pagan Temple” and the over the top Satanic “Denver Airport”. Do WE think that is an “accident”? I certainly do not believe in “accidents” and KNOW that God does what HE wills. So here we are…with the most exciting and riveting story in sports in decades and it has everyone talking “God”…and I LOVE IT.

Do I care that Tim Tebow says “Praise Jesus”? Ummm…as a Muslim I too say “Praise Jesus”, all the time, because, well, he IS the Messiah and IS the one who WILL show humanity how straighten this whole man made mess out here on Earth and finally put themselves on a righteous path. Besides I’ve never heard Tebow utter a negative word…not even one about “evil Mooselums” so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he is smart enough to not get sucked into that black hole of hate.

One last thought on Timmy Teblow. Jesus said, “And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, (in those NFL stadiums) that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.”
As in all things ‘NFL’ it’s all about the show. Well and the money…

  8. The jews are afraid of Tebow. They don’t have him, like they do Palin, and so many other comprised “Christians”. Tebow is naive in the ways of zionism. I was. That’s not his fault. The jews fear him finding out the truth about them. He may not compromise the truth…. best nip him in the bud now. Ridicule him, make a fool of him. Don’t let him succeed…. unless and until we know he’s ours.

Keep your faith Timmy. Keep it honest. Honor the truth.

  9. Here’s wishing you success this Sunday against the Patriots, Timmy. And keep on praising God for it. Heaven knows the jews don’t want you to keep on doing that. Your God is very much different than theirs…. they’re diametrically opposed to each other.

  10. And although the rabbi said “mosque,” me thinks he was really concerned about synagogues.

  11. Be careful of the water you drink before and during the game, Timmy.
