1. More on the Pollard goings on. On February 16th, the Huffington Post published an article advocating Pollard’s release written by Steven Kurlander. He reads like he is a Haaretz writer though he actually writes for the Sun-Sentinel in Florida and the article originally appeared there. It is also on Kurlander’s blog.

Who are these people? Kurlander doesn’t bother to tell us. After carefully pointing out the arguments of those who think Pollard should never walk out of his prison, he dismisses it all because we have to support Israel.

Such action would not only be in the interests of justice, but also heal the upset caused by the affair and bring to a close a chapter that needs to be over and done with in American-Israeli relations — particularly now when Israel could use a renewed sign of support of faith and friendship as it faces the greatest threat to the nation’s existence ever in its short history.”

2. The ridiculous Robert McFarlane on February 9th wrote to the Israeli Vice President for American Affairs (IVPFAA) Barack Barry Sotero Obama (BBSO) calling for Pollard’s release and the Zio-press loves it. Here’s the letter.

Why not use the Pollard affair to amplify the darker question … who was his operator? Naturally it’s his prerogative to post what he wishes, but his emotional plea for clemency didn’t move me. I say a life sentence does not mean 26 years, it means what it says.
