Solomon Dwek and the Six Imams

1. Rabbi Israel Dwek, the father of Solomon Dwek, has been in the news this week. It does appear that the main report found in PolitickerNJ.com and now all over the Internet is inaccurate. Nonetheless, Daddy Dwek is still very very upset. Who could blame him?

I mean, imagine if your son started doing business deals while still in  his teens and built himself a mini empire that included:

” a gambling boat, estates in Jersey and Florida, office buildings and plans to build high-rises just across the river from Manhattan.”

Gee, where did he get the money for all that?  But I digress.  Well, maybe not. Where’d he get all that money?  I think I know. It is because he is an “observant” Jew.   Red highlights, as usual, are mine.

“Dwek is the observant son of Rabbi Isaac Dwek, leader of the Syrian Jews who turned a summer getaway in Deal, N.J., into a wealthy sanctuary of Mediterranean-style mansions for their Brooklyn-based community.”

My goodness, I highlighted the whole thing, didn’t I?

I wonder how Daddy Dwek was able to do all this. Anyway, maybe Daddy was the source of funding for baby Dwek’s casinos.  I  hope we learn more about Daddy in the near future.

Clearly baby Dwek  was probably doing lots of scamming all along and then in 2006 he deposited a $25 MILLION dollar check at a bank drive through.

Wow.  I’d love to see the look on Mantiq’s bank teller’s face if I drove up in my obviously expensive car and dropped a check for 25 million bucks into the tube.

But I digress.

Anyway, it was a bad check, so Solomon did just what you’d expect from the son of a Rabbi who turned a summer getaway into a wealthy sanctuary of mansions for his fellow Jews, he attempted to withdraw 23 million dollars based on the bad check.

Oops.

And that’s how Solomon Dwek got a job working for the FBI.

Please note that we here at Mantiq al-Tayr do not endorse the “Solomon Dwek Method” (patent pending) for getting a government job. We recommend instead that you apply according to standard procedures, get a job interview, wait for several years while working for a temp agency in the daytime and singing in sleazy bars downtown at night, and then find out that your job was given to somebody well-connected in the community of Zion. But once again, I digress. Back to the Daddy Dwek blues.

So Daddy Dwek is terribly upset. I mean wouldn’t you be? Your son has been caught engaging in extremely serious bank-fraud and has thus “brought shame” upon your tight little religious community that expels members who marry from outside. I would expect him to be very upset – can’t we all agree?

Oh, but according to reports on the Internet, he doesn’t seem to be all that upset about his son being a lousy good for nothing crook. Nope.

Now the initial report said that Big Daddy was so upset that he was going to “Sit Shiva” – which we at Mantiq al-Tayr thought at first meant he was converting to Hinduism or something.

But, according to the report on the event we learned what it means to “sit Shiva”.

“As explained to PolitickerNJ.com, Rabbi Dwek will sit Shiva for Solomon Dwek, observing the Jewish custom of mourning for an immediate family member who has died.”

But, sadly, it seems that Rabbi Isaac Dwek, who converted a summer getaway into mansions for his followers, ain’t gonna sit no Shiva on his son. Apparently this was a mistake according to the this report.

But, what the great Rabbi did do was to deliver:

” a very emotional sermon in which he strongly denounced the phenomenon of a Jew informing on other Jews, said that he is also a victim in this saga together with Klal Yisroel, and asked for prayers from the entire Jewish community for his terrible suffering.”

Yup. This is called the law of the Moser. The big D:

“took to his pulpit on Saturday to cite the Talmudic Law of Moser that prohibits a Jew from informing on another Jew to a non-Jew.”

But:

“Rabbi Dweck did not renounce his son, nor is he sitting shivah according to halachah.”

So your son is a total crook and you are upset not because of that, but because he assisted federal authorities in the country that allowed the Big D to turn a summer getaway into “a wealthy sanctuary of Mediterranean-style mansions for their Brooklyn-based community”  in rooting out the unbelievable criminality going on all around Big D and his friends.

But you aren’t so upset that you’ll shiva on him, maybe because he did follow part of the law of the Moser and didn’t have to root out  Big Daddy Dwek.  Maybe that was part of his deal with the FBI. I hope the question comes up in court.

2. Of course, as this article informs us, the FBI only did this because the FBI is an anti-Semitic organization. That’s why the FBI works so closely with the ADL and has quit working with CAIR and why the FBI has, whether it wants to admit it or not, scared the absolute shit out of the Muslim community for years now. But the real problem at the FBI is anti-Semitism.  Let’s look at the article closely.  Here’s the opening salvo from an obvious nut case:

“Anti-Semitism was behind the highly publicized arrests last week of rabbis, including three from the Aleppo-Syrian Jewish community in New York and New Jersey, according to Yitzhak Kakun, editor-in-chief of the Shas weekly Yom Le’Yom“

Of course Kakun admits he does not know the details of the case, but to arrest Jews is to be anti-semitic, because as we have seen with people like Aron Raskas and Yisreal Medad, there is one standard for Jews – they do whatever they want, and one standard for the rest of us, we do whatever they want.
Not to be outdone in sounding like an idiot, a Shas Member of Parliament named Nissim Ze’ev had this to say:

“The US police are trying to make it seem as though there is some kind of Jewish mafia.”

Well, guess what. There is.

“Ze’ev was referring to impression some media outlets had given by calling the group of rabbis involved the “Kosher Nostra,” a play on the words “Cosa Nostra.” (Wanna have some fun and learn something about the groceries you buy?  Do a search on “Kosher Nostra” in Google and see what you find.)

The Shas party is one that wants to have its matza and eat it to. They are largely parasites living off the Israeli (and hence the US) government and while they can seem to be better than the other crazies in Israel – like Netanyahoo, they are in Netanyahoo’s coalition government.  Nonetheless they like to play down their obvious nuttiness and distance themselves from people even crazier than they are. Therefore the following comment form Ze’ev.

“Saul Kassin [one of the suspects in the money-laundering scheme] is a man who contributes to many different causes, many of them very Zionistic,” said Ze’ev.

“He helps various charitable institutions in Israel and he has also helped fund IDF projects,” added Ze’ev. “We are not talking about a community that is particularly supportive of Shas. They are much more Zionist and nationalist.”

Ze’ev thinks he’s helping theses guys. What he has just done is provide the FBI with possible leads. Hey FBI dudes, what “charitable institutions” in Israel is Ze’ev talking about and what the hell is Kassin doing supporting IDF projects? Hello?

But the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr believe that Kakun wins the contest for sounding like a total fool.

“Regardless of the details of the case – I am not familiar with the precise charges and the evidence – you would never see the FBI and police behaving that way with Muslim sheikhs or Christian priests. It is so obvious that the whole thing is motivated by anti-Semitism.”

I’ll let the commentors on this blog deal with the Christian priests part. Let’s look at the “Muslim sheikh” thingy dingy for a minute.

The FBI loves to arrest Muslim leaders. Look here, and here for a couple of examples. We’ll give you another in in just a second.

But first let’s also point out that US government agencies love to arrest Muslims. I guess it’s a good way to get promoted. Who knows. Anybody remember the mass arrests in LA? Here’s a BBC report about hundreds being arrested. Imagine if they had been Jews? Here’s another report on the joys of being Muslim in the US.

But let’s go back to Mantiq al-Tayr’s favorite arrest of Muslims.  We call it here “The Flight of the Six Imams.” Wikipedia, an entity obviously controlled by Islamofascists, racistly refers to the incident as “Sheikhs on a Plane.”

Six American Muslim Imams, one of them blind, were arrested back in November for 2006 and the FBI was involved in that one too.

What do you think they were arrested for?

A. Money Laundering

B. Selling organs of Jewish children living in Palestinian-occupied Israel.

C. Bank Fraud.

D. All of the above.

E. Praying in an airport

I’ll let you all guess the right answer.  Oh, alright, for those of you who belong to the Shas party and are too stupid to figure it out, here’s a little info.

They had made the tactical mistake of doing their congregational sunset prayer near the airport gate before the plane took off, scaring the hell out of passengers who have been brought up by the Islamofascist media in these United States to be terrified of Muslims and especially of anything Arabic.  Most reports say they were handcuffed and escorted off the plane. They were later released that same day. They sued everyone involved in the case so Congress passed a law, after the fact, to protect those who reported them to authorities for not being regular white people like Timothy Mcveigh.

Imagine what would have happened if a bunch of Orthodox Jewish Rabbis were arrested and handcuffed on an airplane and dragged off for interrogation because they weren’t acting like normal white people? Especially if it turns out that they, just like the six Imams, had done nothing wrong.

1. Back in 2005, poor Tad Rickman, writing for the Denver Daily News, made a typo for which he become infamous for a while. Here’s what he did.

“The Denver Daily News would like to offer a sincere apology for a typo in Wednesday’s Town Talk regarding New Jersey’s proposal to ban smoking in automobiles. It was not the author’s intention to call New Jersey ‘Jew Jersey.’”

I think now everyone owes Tad an apology.

The fact that evil assholes such as the folks below were nabbed in New Jersey should come as no surprise. The state is really not much more than a an  Israeli fort filled with all kinds of Israeli spies and criminals.

First of all, let’s recall the 2004 case of former New Jersey governor, James McGreevey, who had a homosexual relationship with an Israeli named Golan Cipel.  He even made Cipel the head of security for the state of New Jersey. Imagine that, putting a foreign national in charge of security of the state.  Cipel must give good blow jobs or something. Anyway, McGreevey had to resign over the scandal. Cipel was no doubt a Mossad agent and had even served in the Israeli Consulate in New York.

But there’s much, much more.

First though, we have an announcement here at Mantiq al-Tayr. In doing some research for today’s post, the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr have discovered a great person – Laura Dawn Lewis – who is clearly a patriot and yes, like Katherine Albrecht, she is also a babe. Mish hayk?

Anyway, Ms. Lewis, whose bio is here, made a great post on her website during the Cipel Israeli homosexual spy scandal in New Jersey that all of you should read. Here it is. She notes more than a few interesting things about this nest of Israeli spies that we call New Jersey.

First though, she points out how McGreevey met Cipel. It was on one of those junkets to Israel that almost ALL US Knesset members take – often they go more than once. Back in 2000 that’s how McGreevey met Cipel. Pretty cool, hugh. Has your governor, senator or congressman gotten a blow job from an Israeli? Please write to them and ask.

Anyway, among the food for though she provides is:

- The dancing Israelis arrested on 911 were based in New Jersey.

- the anthrax letters in the wake of 911 were mailed from New Jersey

-  Two Israelis were caught in Tennessee in 2002 with classified submarine fuel were based in New Jersey.

- She notes that Israel’s two biggest ways to get money (when not stealing from the US Treasury) is through arms smuggling and drug dealing. New Jersey is a major state Defense Department wise – really an ideal place to get a hold of toys and sell them to others. A great place for Cipel to be in charge of security.

2. Anyway, back to the latest case of Israeli infiltration of New Jersey. Oh wait, remember Edward Mosberg? He’s the “holocaust survivor” from, well, New Jersey, who was allowed to travel to Israel to see the Pope when Benedick went there earlier this year in a obvious and quite successful attempt to humiliate Catholics all over the globe. The mere fact that Mosberg was under indictment for fraud was no obstacle to his being allowed to hold hands with the Pope and to stay in Israel for days afterward. Did he ever return to the United States?

Anyway, back to the most recent scandle. By the way, so far unidicted New Jersey governor Jon Corzine, has chosen a Jewish woman as his running mate. She is state Senator (and so far unindicted) Loretta Weinberg and she is not, as far as we know, a holocaust survivor. However, she claims her life savings were wiped out by Bernie Madoff. Clearly, if you need to get back lots of cash, the best way is to become as deeply involved in New Jersey poltics as possible, and we here at Mantiq al-Tayr are quite certain that Ms. Weinberg will be able to recover her losses.

3. Anyway, back once again to the sordid collection of perverted misfits arrested Thursday in New Jersey.

Wait, I almost forgot. Remember Ben-Ami Kadish? He spied on the US for Israel for years and was recently arrested in, you’ll never believe it, New Jersey. Oh, and when he did his spying, guess where he was working. Surprise surprise, he was in a military base in New Jersey.  We here at Mantiq al-Tayr thank Shadai that Kadish basically was told that spying for Israel is okay.

4. So, you want to read about the latest and greatest scandal. Go here, the Newark Star-Ledger is all over it. Here’s a list of those arrested. Go to the “money laundering” part of the list and look at what these guys are charged with. Note that lots of it has to do with so-called “charitable” organizations. It used to be, and probably still is the case, that if you wanted to get to know the FBI really really really well, all you had to do was open up an Islamic charity. You’d also get lots of attention from the various and sundry traitorous pundits who make up the proganda campaign for the Israeli lobby. We’ve always felt here at Mantiq al-Tayr that Islamic charities were getting so viciously attacked by the Lobby and Feds because the Lobby specializes in attacking others for doing exactly what the Lobby does everyday. I guess they just can’t conceive that someone could set up a charitable organization that isn’t a scam.

And as for the scumbag of a scumbags, that creepy Rosenbaum – just whose organs is he selling? And what’s all this about him pulling guns on people.  It turns out that authorities have known what he has been doing for years. Could you imagine if he’d been a Arab and was getting Jewish donors at gun-point?

Let’s see how the press handles this. Here’s a prediction.

By the end of the weekend no one in the mainstream press will be covering it.

The Rabbis will get mostly get off scot free. Maher Khalil, the one Arabic guy caught up in this will go to jail and the many non-Jewish politicians caught up in this will for the most part be punished, but only one or two will become the major scapegoats.

The people of New Jersey should demand that all of their politicians step down, that all Jewish charities be shut down in their state and that ALL of the guilty parties are brought to justice.

The Murder of Faith

1. Iman is a great Arabic word to ponder. It means “Faith” and faith is what so much of life if all about.

Faith is also a girl’s name in Arabic, just like it is in English.

I remember well back in 1994 when Iman (Faith) al-Hams was brutally murdered by the Israeli military.  It was a horrible event and the Israeli response was just so awful that it deserves to be resurrected.

Below is a comment posted to the Mantiq al-Tayr site today in response to Obama’s meeting with the Jewish Lobby.   The comment references in considerable detail the murder of Iman al-Hams and we here at Mantiq al-Tayr believe that the comment, posted by “Freeman”, is a fitting tribute to her memory and to the memory of all the Palestinian children murdered by Israel.  It is not milk for babes, so please make sure you have a tissue handy.

2. Here is Freeman’s post in its entirety.

I do not really think that Obama and his guests from the 16 Jewish Organizations actually heard of the above ‘incidents’ of Jewish justice in the Jewish State reported by Ha’aretz , although they may just keep a watchful eye or two on this business of investigations into possible war crimes committed by the Army of the Jewish State (‘AJS’, for short, since IDF is a misnomer) during the Gaza War.

Keep a watchful eye -yes, but loose sleep over it, no. The drill for de-sticking the AJS of feven the stickiest of criminal investigations is well rehearsed . The machinery is well oiled both inside the Jewish state and internationally so that it is ‘easy’ now to dive and duck and twist all ‘evidence’ and eventually nothing will ever stick to the Teflon AJS.

Yet, I can safely bet that there is one name, which is connected to a distant AJS ‘incident’, and which most if not all of the Jewish reps will be familiar with. I can equally bet that Obama did not hear of that name or of the incident concerning it.

It happened 15 years ago this October. Probably he was too otherwise engaged to notice it. But definitely not his guests- no matter how otherwise engaged they may have been, they know the name very well even if they were only “three years old” at the time.

I place the words “three years old” in quotation marks because they are not my own words. They are part of an infamous statement related to the incident. The complete version of the quote is engraved in my own memory and they will stay there.

The name is Iman Darweesh Al Hams, aged 13 who was shot 17 sometimes while wounded laying face down on the ground, by “Captain R” of the AJS in Rafah, Gaza, on October 15th 1994.

Captain R radioed back to his unit walking away from the body of Iman:
“This is commander. Anything that’s mobile, that moves in the zone, even if it’s a three-year-old, needs to be killed. Over.”

The Jewish Captain R went through no less than 2 Jewish internal investigations plus a Jewish Military Tribunal over a period of two years following the ‘incident’. The Jewish verdict: Promotion to the rank of major and compensation in the amount of 83,000 shekels. It was not just full acquittal, but the Jewish Justice just had to throw in promotion and compensation, for good measure. The medal was withheld, strangely enough.

I strongly believe that the Jewish reps who met with Obama know this incident extremely well, even those of them who were still sucking Jewish milk from their moms’ Jewish nipples at the time. That was exactly the kind of incident which would rattle an American Jewish activist to the very core of his being whether he or she fully backed or was completely against Captain- well, now Major R.

“…..even if it is 3 years old……needs to be killed. Over.”

This is so bad that it is even worse than the Mohammad Durrah affair, the child who was shot almost in his own father’s arms. It is bad bad bad, not necessarily because of the pathologically criminal nature of the act, but definitely because it is the sort of thing which is bad bad bad for the image of the Jewish State and the Representatives of the Jewish Organizations in America will need to spend so much time and so much effort to ‘Teflon-ise’ this one off the AJS. They ALL must have had to chip in then.

I can also safely bet (if I was a betting person, which I am not) that the case of Iman Al Hams and Captain R- now Major R – of the Teflon AJS became a text book case study for the Organizations on what went ‘wrong ‘and how to handle it again in the future.

No no no, don’t get me wrong!!! The lesson was not how to avoid killing Palestinian Arab civilians, but rather, how to carry on killing them in LARGE numbers, equally brutally, and get away with it with no less effort than wiping off cooking oil off a Teflon pan.

It worked.
More than 1300 hundred people half of whom were women and children were killed by the AJS in Gaza in just above three weeks, and not a word from Obama about it then, and not a word from him now.

To use a bit of the Manteq al-Tayr logic: if (for example) a Lebanese army officer shot a wounded Jewish Israeli girl of 13, who was running “scared to death” having blundered across some invisible line on the ground, and was already ‘taken’ by a Lebanese army gun post and dropped on her face bleeding – if the Lebanese officer approached her with his soldiers, shot her at least twice in the head in order to ‘verify the kill’ as a ‘standard procedure’, walked away and then walked back and riddled her dead body with another dozen or so shots from his gun….

AND.. . if this Lebanese officer got promoted and received compensation after an extended multiple enquiry by the Lebanese military and by the Lebanese State…..then,

WHO in this whole wide world will appoint the Lebanese as chiefs of staff and advisers and receive the reps of the Lebanese Organizations in their country and wear the Lebanese red fez (tarboush) to show their deep affinity [Aah wallah ya a’7i MT , 3urwa wuthqa, no less!] to Lebanon?

Obama may never have heard of Iman, or of the two Ha’aretz ‘incidents’ above, but there is no doubt whatsoever that he did hear of Gaza and the HUNDREDS of children who were bombed out of existence last December and January by the very same Teflon AJS- and yet he expects Palestinian Arabs to actually join him in crediting Israel for,

“…..recent steps including opening up roads and providing more access for Palestinians in the West Bank.”

Iman died almost fifteen years ago, and I never heard of her before that.
As it turned out, Iman actually started living inside me, since October 5th, 2004. She never left me since then…and she will be 15, come next October.

Iman sends a message to Mr. Obama:

Iman says that if she is to follow his logic in attributing credit to the Jewish State, then Israel deserves credit for nothing less than NOT machine gunning 300 Palestinians everyday at point blanc.

THAT is truly credit worthy for Israel, Iman says.

Obama in Bondage, Top Hats, and a Bunch of Pussies

1.    In the Qur’an in Surat Luqman there is a term that is well known to Muslims around the world, al-‘urwa al-wuthqa, which means “the firmest bond”. The verse says that those who submit completely to God while doing good to others have grasped al-‘urwa al-wuthqa – the strongest bond – sometimes the phrase is even rendered as the “most trust-worthy hand-hold. Arberry renders it as follows:

“And whosoever submits his will to God, being a good-doer, has laid hold of the most firm handle; and unto God is the issue of all affairs.”

In the US we have replaced God with the Jewish Lobby. In fact, if you did a search and replace in the Qur’an and replaced every reference to God with “the Jewish Lobby”, you’d have a pretty good picture of what is going on in the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere. Let’s do this with the verse cited above.

“And whosoever submits his will to the Jewish Lobby, being a good-doer, has laid hold of the most firm handle; and unto the Jewish Lobby is the issue of all affairs.”

Barrack Obama, who is probably a natural-born US citizen, and who appears to know something about the Quran, understands this quite well. So recently he met with the heads of 16 Jewish organizations to discuss Israel and its importance to his presidency. As far as I know, no one at the meeting asked for his birth certificate. But I digress.

As you all know, the meeting was supposed to be in secret, but the word got out.  Here’s a list of attendees.

According to this report, Obama, who says he is not a Muslim, immediately recited the Zioinist’s creed under the watchful eyes of Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod – both of whom, as you know, are Islamofascists. Ira Forman informs us: (red emphasis is mine)

“He talked about Israel as a Jewish state with no hesitancy,” Forman said.  “He also reiterated what he has said before about the fundamental bond between Israel and the United States and the fundamental commitment the US has, no matter what disagreements there are, to Israel’s peace and security.”

As the meeting goes on we learn that Obama considers Israel and the United States to be a “family.” Could you imagine him saying that about the Palestinians? Here’s the passage. As usual, the red emphasis is mine.

“Another participant argued that Israel negotiates for peace from a stronger position when its leaders feel there is no public disagreement between Israel and the US.

The president disagreed, saying that  while it’s essential that Israelis are convinced of America’s deep commitment to Israel’s safety, his administration has to be honest about family disagreements. But he reiterated that progress in the peace process isn’t just Israel’s responsibility, and said Israel deserves credit for recent steps including opening up roads and providing more access for Palestinians in the West Bank.”

Obama is also said to have told his handlers that his administration is putting just as much pressure on the Palestinians as it is on Israel. No doubt this pressure is to get the Palestinians to withdraw from Israeli land they occupy and to stop their blockades of Tel Aviv and Haifa where they are strangling 1.5 million Israelis. He also admonished Fatah and Hamas for invading Tsederot and dropping phosphorus bombs on women and children.

Obama then really stood up to his handlers and told them “Look you Zionist motherfuckers, I’m tired of having to kiss your asses and sell out US interests so you can have that shitty little country to flee too once everyone over here has figured out how you have betrayed this country.”

Well, not quite.

Not even close.

Instead, he complained that every time he is shown on al-Jazeera he is wearing a yarmulka. “And you look good in it, too,” he was told. (I’m not making this up.)

I’m telling you folks, don’t believe that Obama is doing anything at all by his references to stopping settlement expansion.  The settlements will continue to expand instead of being immediately evacuated and turned over to the Palestinians while in the meantime the Lobby will bitch and moan about Israel’s being asked to stop the “natural growth” of the settlements. It’s leader, Jeremy Ben-Ami, unwittingly informs anyone who goes to the J Street website that everything going on right now is a charade. But before looking at his comments on being at “Obama’s table” let me digress for a second.

J Street describes itself as “J Street is the political arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement.”  It does not say that is it is a “pro-US” organization.  J Street supports a two state solution because it is good for Israel first and foremost – in J Street’s opinion. Secondarily J Street believes it would be good for the US too and lastly it would be good for the Palestinians – the human beings whose land has been stolen, have been driven off their lands and continue to be slaughtered by the country that J Street puts first and foremost. Isn’t it nice to see that after 42 years of Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank that a part of the Jewish Lobby has adopted the position that most of the world did decades ago?

Here’s J Street’s position, right from their “About” page.

“J Street represents Americans, primarily but not exclusively Jewish, who support Israel and its desire for security as the Jewish homeland, as well as the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own – two states living side-by-side in peace and security. We believe ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is in the best interests of Israel, the United States, the Palestinians, and the region as a whole.”

Ben-Ami tells readers of the Obama’s Table post:

You should feel great. After little more than a year – and through your online advocacy and donations – J Street has arrived. We are your political voice when it comes to Israel and the Middle East – representing you in Washington and in the national political debate.

Who do “you” think “you” is here? You get one guess.

Ben-Ami tells us that Obama did the following:
“He framed the issue as a strategic challenge in which the U.S. must pursue numerous goals simultaneously – ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, ensuring Israel’s security, dealing with Iran, and addressing the legacy of anti-American sentiment in the region.”

Ben-Ami calls this kind of talk “pushing while hugging.”

I call it talking while sucking.

1. Here’s a quote from Alan Sabrosky writing on Mondoweiss. If Phil Tourney, Mark Glenn or Joe Cortina said this, they’d get the usual slurs hurled their way. Red highlights are mine.

3. The Anonymous Arabist has had some great posts lately. In this one, we get a very good run down of how dishonest MEMRI is. All of you in the US Kne$$et who worship Israel should read that post.  I also hope that Cofer Black doesn’t lose his head over this post which shows, once again, what a sick institution the CIA is. Blackwater just has to go.

1. Okay Mantiqiyyans, it’s really time to show your stuff. Over the past few months we here at Mantiq al-Tayr have had all the fun when it comes to showing just how ridiculous Zionist argument are. We’ve really had a ball and judging from the comments we are getting many of you have enjoyed reading and commenting on the blog.

But now here is your big chance to show that you too can demonstrate how utterly stupid a Zionist argument can be. And we here at Mantiq al-Tayr wish to note that this contest, in part, is due to Zionist slumlord Sam Zell who owns the LA Times and the Baltimore Sun, at least until both go out of business. May God hasten that day. But I digress.

Yes, Slumlord Sam has used the LA Times as a floor mat, er, format, for one Yisrael Medad to do his own Aron Raskas imitation. Yisrael – born in the United States – thinks that he has a right to just take the land of the Palestinians because – well, because Jews just don’t have to obey the same laws that everyone else does. His arguments are so fallacious and easily shot down that he really ought to be embarrassed, but he clearly has no sense of shame. He does have a sense of his own superiority to Arabs though.

So, here’s the contest. Go read his piece of Hasbarah (and please remember the definition of Hasbarah that we use here at Mantiq al-Tayr) and then take one point he makes that you know is full of shit and make fun of it while showing how off-the-mark, misleading or just what a plain lie it is. Whoever submits the most bitingly funny critique of one of his points gets a prize. We haven’t determined what the prize is, but it won’t be a subscription to the LA Times or the Baltimore Sun.  Also, if we actually get a bunch of entries, I’ll also put them all together and make a post using them in the future.

Below I will take one point from his piece to sort of give you a running start, but feel free to do things in your own style.  Here goes.

You know folks, if I were going to make the argument that the Geneva Conventions do not apply to Palestine, I sure as hell would not make references to the International Court of Justice – unless I were trying to deceive you which is exactly what Yisrael Medad attempted to do this week writing for Slumlord Slam in the LA Times. Yisrael wants you to believe that the Geneva conventions do not apply to Israel and provides some opinions (all bullshit, btw) to that effect. In the course of this argument he says of the position that the Conventions do not apply and that the settlements are therefore legal:

Support for that position came from Judge Stephen M. Schwebel, former president of the International Court of Justice, who determined that Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria did not constitute “occupation.”

Stephen Myron Schwebel is quite the character and voted on the losing side in case before the ICJ against the US when it was engaging in terrorism against Nicaragua.  Nicaragua won that case, but, of course the US, just like Israel, ignored the ICJ. The fact that is guy is considered a legal expert shows how gross and disgusting the legal profession has become and is further reason for the fact that so many of us hate lawyers. But what Yisrael does not tell you is that the International Court of Justice itself, the actual body, not one guy who is not a member any more, has issued an advisory that the Geneva Conventions do apply to the West Bank.  I guess Yisrael just forgot. Selective memri, as they say.  Here’s a quote from a BBC piece on a ruling by the ICJ against the racist wall the Izzies have built. Highlights in red are mine, as usual.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an advisory ruling that the West Bank barrier is illegal.

The court also accepted that the Geneva Convention does apply to the West Bank and Gaza and that the barrier breached the convention. This has been the general position of the international community, as affirmed in repeated United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Yes, once again Israel is at odds with the international community.  That’s because Israel and its supporters believe that there is one set of rules for them – meaning they get to do whatever they want – and another set of rules for the rest us – meaning we have to do whatever they want.
