Save the Spirit from Israeli Aggression

The Spirit leaving port to aid the people of Gaza

The Spirit leaving port to aid the people of Gaza

1. As I write these lines the Spirit is under threat from the Israeli Navy.

The Spirit is bringing maerial aid to the long suffering people of Gaza. Cynthia Mckinney is on board.

Here is their latest post to their website from this morning.

Zionist Bullshit

1. It must be nice to be a member of a religion that allows, nay encourages, you to steal others people’s land and resources and feel good about it. Then, if anyone objects to your obnoxious disgusting behavior you get to label them as bigots. What  a great deal. Want to be an asshole – well here comes your role model.

Aron Raskas is a Baltimore lawyer and Israeli firster who believes that since he is a Jew he gets to live on land stolen from Palestinians and he thinks this is a “morally sound” thing to do.   I guess he must be fleeing all the anti-Semitism that is rampant in Baltimore. It’s so bad in Baltimore that Zionist slumlord Sam Zell had to buy the local newspaper – no not the Baltimore Jewish Times – but rather the Baltimore Sun – otherwise the Jews would have been driven out from their over forty synagogues there. Others would have had to seek refugee at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall or hide out under their desks at the Baltimore Hebrew University. Of course, due to the rampant anti-Semitism in Baltimore, BHU has had to merge with Towson. This will no doubt cause a flood in refugees from Baltimore into the West Bank.  But I digress.

No doubt some others would have had to hide in the basement of the Jewish Museum of Maryland. Other hiding places have been fortified by 900 hundred thousand dollars in grants from the federal goverment to protect Jewish places from terrorism. Noted Islamofascist Senator Barbara Mikulski very proudly announced this grant in October of 2007. No doubt her colleague, also an Islamofascist, Senator Benjamin Cardin, approved.  Yup, Maryland is a tough place for a Jew to live. So it’s off to the West Bank.

That rascal Raskas had to flee to the “settlement” of Rimonim which he informs us is in the “heart of the West Bank.” (Please note, that means he is living on land acquired by Israel in the 1967 war that Israel started. Therefore he is in violation of the Geneva Conventions. )

Now, Raskas knows that he is doing something illegal and immoral. It pervades the piece he wrote for that great anti-Semitic newspaper known as the Baltimore Sun. So he has to justify it by telling us that there just aren’t any Palestinians there. Obviously, you can’t steal land from people who do not exist – right?

As one looks out from Rimonim, the most telling fact is what one does not see. Over the miles of rolling hills that unfold across the landscape, there is not a village, building, home or even a herd of sheep to be seen. The scene is the same at other Jewish settlements as well.

It would be sort of like going into Jewish parts of Germany or Poland after WWII and taking over empty Jewish houses because you just couldn’t find any Jews anywhere. But again, I digress.

Okay, so he tells us, it’s fine for him to live in Rimonim because the Palestinians do not live there. Nor do they live anywhere else, apparently.

He knows this is a lie, of course. So he has to back it up with – and I am not making this up – with a quote from Mark Twain. Here goes:

When Mark Twain walked this land in 1867, he described in his book, Innocents Abroad, this very same “deserted” and “desolate country” with its “rocky and bare” landscape. Today, despite Palestinian efforts to portray it differently, not all that much has changed outside the few towns and villages that dot the land.

Villages like Hebron with about 170 thousand people (this would make it the second biggest city in Maryland – the land of anti-Semitism) or Nablus with 135 thousand. Damn, I’m digressing again.

Again, Raskas knows he is deliberately misleading his readers. Any idiot, except members of Congress, can tell you that world population figures today are quite different than they were in 1867.  Egypt, for example, has about 80 million people today. In 1882, it’s populaton was 8 million.

So, lie upon lie, he were go:

Even the pro-Palestinian group Peace Now concedes that Israeli settlements – mostly bedroom communities of Jerusalem or Tel Aviv – occupy less than 3 percent of the West Bank.

His nose is growing bigger and bigger and he knows this. So we then are told that those nice Jews fleeing persecution in Baltimore – I guess – are really nice urban professionals who would not harm a flea.

Moreover, Israeli professionals living a suburban life with their children in the vast expanse of these territories do not threaten or harm Palestinians.

Good grief. He  knows that anyone who has ever been in the West Bank knows that the settlers hate the Arabs and make life hell for them whenever they can. Furthermore, those same people know what happens at the endless check points that only Palestinian Muslims and Christians must endure, but not Jews and certainly not upwardly mobile Jews fleeing anti-Semitism from Baltimore.  Therefore, Raskas blames the Palestinains for the check points:

Israeli checkpoints and security measures have been implemented because Palestinians have seemed more interested in destroying Israel and killing Jews than establishing an independent Palestinian state.

This guy hasn’t even peeked yet. Again, he knows that even the simplest research will show that he is completely and obviously deliberately misrepresenting the truth.  So he has to go existential on us. But first, let’s summarize the argument so far.

1. He can’t see any Palestinians from his house, therefore it is okay that he went there and lives in violation of the Geneva conventions.

2. Mark Twain was in Palestine in 1867 and he didn’t see many people. Since Palestinians are too stupid to know how to have sex, there aren’t any Palestinians today either.

3. Israeli settlements don’t take up much space anyway. Although about 5 per cent of the Israeli Jewish population lives in them, these lovely bedroom communities are just tiny little things and only vicious anti-Semitic murderous crazed Palestinians plus Mark Glenn and Michael Collins Piper could ever have an objection to these bedrooms.

4. The Jews who live in the settlements are professionals and it would never occur to any of them ever to do anything to  harm those goddamn Palestinians.

5. Palestinians are hell-bent on violence for no reason whatsoever. They have no grievances at all, therefore the Israelis have built hundreds of check points and the ungrateful Palestinians don’t even have the courtesy to say thank you.

Got all this? Now since he knows his arguments are just Hasbarah, which is the Hebrew word for “Pure, 100 percent unadulterated bullshit”, we now get yet another justification.

Nor are Jewish settlements the result of Israeli colonial aspirations. Most represent the return of the Jewish people to the cities of their ancestors.”

So if you take land for the hell of it, that’s being colonial. But if people who might have been related to your 2000 years ago lived there then its okay? Of course it is. Even Mark Twain – yes he is basing this part of his argument on Mark Twain too – would agree.

As Twain painstakingly reported, Jews have lived here since time immemorial, and a drive through these territories highlights the Jewish history – cities, tombs and other landmarks – rooted in this land.

Therefore, Jews today can go to Israel and do whatever the hell they want, which is exactly what they do.

“Yet it is not just ancient history that speaks to the great Jewish legacy. The Jewish presence has been a constant right up to modern times. While many bristle at the terms “Judea” and “Samaria,” dismissing them as propaganda invented by extremist “settlers” for political ends, maps, photographs, travel guides and other books have throughout history described these territories by those time-honored names. Even United Nations resolutions – including, notably, the 1947 Partition resolution – used those terms.”

Let’s see, the UN partition resolution uses the names Judea and Samaria, therefore the Jews have a right to Palestine. Of course Judea and Samaria were supposed to be part of the Arab state according to that partition plan, but damn, I’m digressing again. Oh and that Plan was never adopted by the UN Security Council either.

So the logical conclusion that anyone would draw from this is:

Given this history, the rights of the Jewish people in these lands are rich, historic and firmly enshrined. While negotiations about sharing this land may be necessary for the sake of peace, they cannot proceed from a premise that these are “Palestinian lands” or occupied “Palestinian territory.” They are, at most, “disputed territories.”

It is easy to see why so many people hate lawyers.

2. About 380 thousand Jews live on land confiscated from Palestinians. Over 120 Jewish-only settlements have been build on Palestinian land and over 100 other settlements called “outposts” have also been built. No Arab settlements have been built on Jewish land and the Arabs have not confiscated any Jewish land, whatever that is, to build Arab-only settlements. Israel’s population is about 7.5 million. About 5.5 million are Jews.

All of the settlements, all of them, are illegal.

International humanitarian law prohibits [an] occupying power [from transferring] citizens from its own territory to the occupied territory (Fourth Geneva Convention, article 49).

The Palestinians have lost control of 50 per cent of the West Bank land due to the settlements.

Israel has used a complex legal and bureaucratic mechanism to take control of more than fifty percent of the land in the West Bank. This land has been used mainly to establish settlements and create reserves of land for the future expansion of the settlements.

Israel uses the seized lands to benefit the settlements, while prohibiting the Palestinian public from using them in any way. This use is forbidden and illegal in itself.

How lovely. And Raskas feels good about it.

Maybe busing is what they need in the West Bank.

The Israeli administration has applied most aspects of Israeli law to the settlers and the settlements, thus effectively annexing them to the State of Israel…. This annexation has resulted in a regime of legalized separation and discrimination.

Under this regime, Israel has stolen hundreds of thousands of dunams of land from the Palestinians. Israel has used this land to establish dozens of settlements in the West Bank and to populate them with hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens. Israel prohibits the Palestinians as a group from entering and using these lands, and uses the settlements to justify numerous violations of the Palestinians’ human rights, such as the right to housing, to earn a livelihood, and the right to freedom of movement. The drastic change that Israel has made in the map of the West Bank prevents any real possibility for the establishment of an independent, viable Palestinian state as part of the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.

Literally hundreds of Israeli checkpoints have been built throughout the West Bank. These checkpoints cause great harm to the Palestinians making even the simplest of trips an absolute nightmare.

Many checkpoints are manned by heavily-armed Israeli soldiers and sometimes guarded with tanks. Others are made up of gates, which are locked when soldiers are not on duty. In addition there are hundreds of dirt or concrete roadblocks, which prevent the passage of all vehicles – family cars and ambulances alike.

Due in large part to the checkpoints and roadblocks, Palestinian movement is severely restricted. Journeys of short distances can stretch into hours when Palestinians are detained at checkpoints or forced to circumnavigate roadblocks or closed checkpoints.

The Palestinians have not built any checkpoints to stop Jews.

3. We at Mantiq al-Tayr dedicated the following selection to Noam Chomsky, the linguist whose theories on linguistics are filled with mathematical equations and who is an Israeli Lobby Denier.  We love it when language and math come together.

Birth Certificates and War

1. We’ve always been mildly intrigued by the issue of whether or not Barrack Hussein Obama is indeed a natural-born US citizen. It is quite possible that he is. It is also possible that he is not. If he isn’t – well we would have, well, a bordel, as they say. It actually could be fun.

One reason we haven’t posted directly about this, but do have a link to Obamacrimes.com, is that some of the people trying to say that BHO is not a US citizen are less than savory – folks like Alan Keyes and lately Orly Taitz.

One of the groups who seem to think that Obama is not a natural-born citizen are certain fanatical zionist Jews. One good example of this is in the lovely “Feeling the Hate” video by Mondoweiss in which an obviously American-born hate-filled Jewish girl says, after proclaiming Obama to be a Muslim, “And who even knows if he was born in the United States? We haven’t seen his birth certificate yet. Bullshit, he’s not from the US.” Unfortunately, she is from the US. Go to about 1:04 in the video and watch this traitor in the making.

Interestingly enough, although she was aware of the birth certificate issue, she didn’t know who Benjamin Netanyahu was. But, again, I digress. It is interesting to see that young racist American Jews going on trips to Israel know about that particular issue though. Most folks we come across here at the land of the Tuyuur have never heard of the matter. They haven’t heard about it because nothing has appeared in the main stream press – a press which is owned, as we all know, by Islamofascists.

Well, maybe not.

The  Globe, yes the supermarket tabloid, has had at least three spreads on Obama dealing with the birth certificate and/or allegations made by Larry Sinclair involving drugs and homosexual activity.

Ever heard of Evercore Partners?

Michael Collins Piper has. He writes:

In any case, the questionable stories about Obama being promoted by Keyes have been picked up by independent “patriot” media in the United States and loudly publicized by three widely circulated supermarket tabloids, The National Enquirer, The National Examiner and The Globe, which are all owned by one company, American Media Inc., a subsidiary of Evercore Partners, a shadowy consortium of pro-Israel financial interests under the direction of Wall Street operator Roger Altman.

What I believe is  happening right now is that Obama is being reminded that if he steps too far out of line on Israel, the stories that have so far just been in the Globe and on quaint right-ring “patriot” stations just might get coverage from the likes of Wolf (free Jonathan Pollard)  Blitzer on CNN. Obama was joking with Wolf Friday night at the White House correspondents fest in DC. If Obama doesn’t do what Zionists like Blitzer want, the joking will cease and you’ll see Wolf asking for that vault copy of BHO’s birth certificate – just like Phil Berg is doing.

This whole affair about Obama standing up to Israel is a farce to begin with, but as usual, the Zionists have their bets covered, so this highly black mailable president is not about to buck them.

2. So what does this all mean? One thing it means is that Obama is going to get the US embroiled in the Iran mess and probably in a military way. The Zionists want it and frankly, the US so screwed up in Iraq that it has created a pro-Iranian government there. The US can’t leave Iraq for several reasons and one of them is that the government in Iraq will end up being controlled by Iran. [I'm not supporting this kind of thinking, I'm just describing it.] So the Ayatollahs have to go. In this sense, US policy and Israeli policy come together quite nicely. And this means that if you are a US taxpayer you are screwed. You are also screwed if you are an Iranian or in the US military.

Isn’t it interesting that Dennis Ross has been moved into the White House from the State Department. It was not done to limit his influence. If you want to limit his influence you fire the son of a bitch, not put him even closer to the President. Interestingly enough, Ha-Aretz was the first newspaper to report the story. Hmmm.  The Ha-Aretz article is typical of the whole fake brouhaha over whether or not Obama loves Israel. It complains that Ross’s role may be lessened by the move but acknowledges that exactly the opposite may be the case.  Then we get this quote from Lachlan Carmichael at AFP:

Veteran diplomat Dennis Ross will soon leave his job at the State Department for a more active role in shaping Iran policy at the White House, a US official said Tuesday.

Just what we need. An out and out Zionist thug who wants war with Iran being moved into the White House for a “MORE ACTIVE” role than before in handling US-Iranian affairs.

No, Obama is not bucking the Israeli lobby, he just put the co-founder of the Lobby’s very own think tank right back into the White House. Obama cannot and will not stand up to these people.

3. Are you an Israeli settler living in some cruddy shit hole in the West Bank? Are you bored and have nothing to do? Well, why not put up some road blocks on streets used by Palestinians whose land you are stealing? Then when these Palestinians go to work in their mini vans will have to stop and then you can stone them and send them to the hospital.  Great fun while you are on Talmud study breaks.  And you can blame it all on Obama. It’s even better if you are an MK – Member of the Knesset. You can then interfere with Border Guard efforts to stop the rioting caused by the insane settlers. You can even jump onto the Border Guard’s vehicle and exhort people to violence and then claim you are the victim.

Here’s the MK, who is also a disciple of Meir Kahane. His name is Michael Ben-Ari.

A true man of G-d

A true man of G-d

And of course there is an Iran connection as, according to Wiki, this guy is a Rabbi with Iranian and Afghan ancestry. He’d have made a great Ayatollah, but I guess Iran’s loss is Israel’s gain. Here he is up on the patrol par, the kind of car that Palestinians get thrown off of going 80 kmp, near the Israeli shit-hole – er, settlement of Yitzhar where they like to stone Palestinians and set fire to their fields.

Ari2 “Just do it!”

Hey, Anonymous Arabist – isn’t he better looking than Rahm Emmanuel?

Legalize “It”

1. No, I am not talking about legalizing Marijuana – that would upset the Islamofascists who own all the liquor companies in the US and its suburb, Canada. And I am certainly not talking about legalizing gay marriage, I wouldn’t want to piss off Donald Trump.

Let me digress for a second. So Miss California gets sacked for believing what any good Torah following Zionist Palestinian-hating Rabbi would believe about marriage and she’s stripped (pun intended) of her crown by Islamofascist Donald Trump. But it is perfectly okay for her to appear in beauty pageants walking up and down a long isle in a bikini while every single male looking at her is thinking long and hard about only one thing. Well, not every male, since lots of gays were probably just trying to see if they could imitate the way she walks, but every straight male who she believes should only marry a woman is looking at her and is thinking only one thing – and he isn’t thinking about his wife, I’ll tell you that. Anyway, that’s all perfectly okay.  Speaking what you believe in is not. Is this a great country or what?  But I digress. (I bet some you guys are pissed I didn’t link to photos of her, aren’t you.:-)

Anyway, we here at Mantiq al-Tayr have declared June 13th, 2009 to be known henceforth as “Spying for Israel Day” and we demand that the U$ Congress pass a bill that makes legal what is going on anyway. Yes, we demand that the U$ Knesset pass a bill, maybe they could just attach it to the hate crimes bill, that proclaims officially that it is legal, indeed even encouraged, to spy for Israel against the United States.

What pray tell could have prompted the tuyuur at Mantiq al-Tayr to make such a momentous announcement? Well, as we have argued in the past, it looks like Righteous Gentile Larry Franklin never did spend a day in jail. In fact, he is not even in the US prison system according to Xymphora.

This makes Israel 4 for 4 lately.

1. Righteous Gentile Larry Frankin  – never in jail.

2. Israeli-firster Steve Rosen. Case dismissed

3. Israeli-first Keith Weissman. Case Dismissed

4. Jonathan Pollard-like spy Ben-Ami Kadish. No jail for 23 years of spying. Asked to pay a 50K fine which no doubt will be paid for by Israel meaning US taxpayers will cover it.

Furthermore, the Tuyuur here demand that Jonathan Pollard be released and that the US goverment pay him reparations for all the harm they have done to him. We are quite sure that former AIPAC employee Wolf “Free Jonathan Pollard” Blitzer will support this to make up for his screw ups that probably have helped keep Pollard in jail for so long. See here and here.  And here’s a nice quote from Robert I. Friedman on Blitzer’s book “Territory of Lies” which is a thinly veiled piece of Israeli propaganda and is about the Pollard spy case:

“Territory of Lies is a slick piece of damage control that would make his [Blitzer's] former employers at AIPAC (not to mention Israel’s Defense Ministry) proud.

Read Blitzer’s exchange with Friedman here.

Anyway, not only should the gang of four above remain free as birds, we suggest that a special memorial be made for them that tells the tales of their sufferings. And what better place to put that memorial than in the US Holocaust Museum?

Formally legalizing and even encouraging spying on the US for Israel would have yet another great fringe benefit. It would free up even more FBI agents and make them available to entrap poorly educated black people and then charge them with being terrorists.

So Steve Israel,  Mossad Jane (you should be in jail) Harman, Nancy Pelosi, Jon Kyl and all the rest of you, let the treason begin!

2. Maybe Larry Franklin can get a job working for Dennis Ross at the State Department.  Glenn Kessler’s piece in the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post this week let’s us see pretty clearly that Ross is busy at work trying to find an excuse to attack Iran. I’m sure Larry would be glad to help.

Here’s a nice quote from that article:

If engagement fails, Ross probably will have to shift course and help devise a blunt-force strategy to accomplish the same goal. That process will also have a deadline: Israel has hinted for years that it would attack Iran to prevent the country from acquiring a nuclear bomb.

Kessler speaks well of Ross’s most recent book, a sort of PNAC document for the future of Iran.Ross’s co-author, David Makovsky, works at WINEP, the academic arm of the Israeli lobby which Ross help create.

The book argues for a “hybrid approach,” in which the United States seeks to talk to Iran but keeps up the pressure with aggressive enforcement of existing sanctions. “This option ends the image that there is a price just for talking to the United States, but does not give the impression that America has caved in,” the men write, arguing that the “hard choices” of stern deterrence or military strikes on Iran would gain greater worldwide acceptance if diplomacy were tried first.

Interestingly enough, another Islamofascist in the Obama administration, Stuart Levey, wants to put the screws to Iran’s economy – apparently for having signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and for not having a nuclear weapons program. Those stupid Iranians.

The administration appears to have adopted parts of this approach. Stuart A. Levey, a senior Treasury official Obama retained from the Bush administration, is responsible for a series of U.S. sanctions aimed at the Iranian financial services industry. Levey traveled to European capitals in late March to press allies to fully implement existing sanctions against Iran.

Ross seeks to follow the exact same approach to Iran that resulted in no Palsetinian-Israeli peace, which no doubt was the reason the Oslo strategy was employed in the first place.

. . . . Ross and co-author David Makovsky lay out the elements of a strategy for approaching Iran. “Myths, Illusions and Peace: Finding a New Direction for America in the Middle East” recommends the establishment of a “direct, secret back channel” with Iran’s leaders before any public talks commence, thus allowing for both sides to have a “thorough discussion and to see whether there is a common agenda that can be constructed.”

And now with the disputed elections in Iran, there is no way, no way at all, none, that Ross and his gang would ever take advantage of that situation to overthrow the current government. No way, we’ve never done that. Oh wait, we did. Obama even sort of acknowedged it in his speech in Cairo telling the Mooselims that they need more democracy.

So Dennis baby, give a Righteous Gentile a break and hire Larry Franklin.  Hell, hire Rosen and Weissman too, I’m sure they could use the US taxpayer money to pay their legal bills. And send a card to Jonathan Pollard – a get out of jail free card, of course.

The USS Liberty: June 8, 1967

Below is a message from Mark Glenn about radio programs this week on RBN commemorating the USS Liberty and which includes links to articles on the horrible events of that day and their significance.

Folks,
today is the 42nd anniversery of Israel’s deliberate, pre-meditated attack on the USS LIberty resulting in the murder of 34 Americans. A week’s worth of radio programs are scheduled to begin this afternoon with Mike Rivero of www.whatreallyhappened.com. The show can be found on gcnlive.com and today’s program features USS LIberty survivor Ron Kukal. Tonight, Michael Collins Piper will begin the 1st of a 5-night series dealing with the subject. Several important personages, including Liberty personel, will be appearing. The show is found at www.republicbroadcasting.org and airs at 9 pm eastern time. Please pass this info around and try to call in with your comments if possible.
Finally, we are beginning to gain ground against the beast of the east, meaning Israel. The world is waking up to the fact that we have a dangerous predator in our midst and those who yesterday hought we were crackpots today are willing to sit down, shut up and listen. Therefore let’s keep the heat on and not lighten up.
Here are a few articles worth passing around I did for AFP a few years ago dealing with the Liberty issue.
thank you

Quel Bordel

1. For the past two weeks the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr have been extremely busy working on a new computer program which we now believe we have perfected as you shall see presently.

As many of you know, the “About” section of this site is written in Arabic. This caused many Mantiqiyyans some angst because they can’t read Arabic – just like most of the people who formulate US Middle East policy. However, one particularly smart Mantiqiyyan reader dropped the Arabic text into an on-line computer translator and managed to get a pretty good rendering.  There is no doubt that machine translation has come a long way.  However, it still has a long way to go – until now.

I know you guys are just chomping at the bit to see what we’ve come up with here. Be patient for just a second.  Here’s a sample sentence that we will run through a standard on-line machine translation tool. The sentence is:

ألله في كل مكان

The sentence says “God is everywhere.” We ran it through this translator and we got this result:

God everywhere

Not bad, but clearly deficient.

We proudly announce that we have completed the development of a computerized translation program that not only renders the original source text accurately into English but if you buy a special add on our program will also provide accurate interpretations of the source text. We boldy announce the perfection of this great program that we have named the Tafsiranatortm.  So, for example, let’s take the source text and run it through the basic version of the Tafsiranatortm. The result is:

God is everywhere.

We just love complete sentences here at Mantiq al-Tayr.  Really.

But the true value of the program lies in its ability to provide interpretive commentary that will elucidate the true meaning behind the text – our program can literally “read between the lines” as some pseudo fake phony people in the language business like to say.

So, we ran the same text through the Sport version of the Tafsiranatortm and this is what we got:

God is everywhere. Comment: This means that what the Quran says in Surah 2: verse 115 is quite literally true. That passage says that :”Wheresoever ye turn, there is the face of God.”  God is at once transcendent and immanent.

Pretty cool, huh?

We also like the fact that the Tafsiranatortm can highlight its comments in red.

2. The Tafsiranatortm has another great feature. It can translate text from English to English while also providing commentary. Going from English to English was the most difficult challenge we faced here at Mantiq al-Tayr since discerning the actual meaning of all the bull shit that is in the main-stream press can be pretty challenging. But, again, as you shall presently see, the Tafsiranatortm is without peer in this regard.

So, for example, we took the following text from an article written by ADL kingpin Abe Foxman. In this article, Foxman supports the idea of a two-state solution to the Zionist-Palestinian problem. Yes indeed even Foxman is on the two-state bandwagon these days which ought to tell you that that bandwagon is a complete total fraud and that Obama’s blathering about it is a deception, but again, I digress.  We ran the following text from that article through the Sport version of our program:

“Israel should simply find a way to acknowledge that a solution to the conflict requires a Palestinian state. By saying already that it accepts all prior agreements that it will abide by the road map, and by virtue of their looking to the actions of President George W. Bush, who was the first American president to call for a two-state solution, the Israeli government has all but accepted that concept.”

And this is what we got:

Fuck the Palestinians. Israel can use the two-state rhetoric coming out of the White House to its own advantage by arguing over every fine point in all the prior agreements while continuing to build settlements, confiscate Palestinian land, and murder all the Palestinians it wants while continuing to talk about how much it wants peace. Comment: Abe Foxman is a goddamn liar.

You gotta admit it, the Tafsiranatortm is one hell of a program.

    3. So, we here at Mantiq al-Tayr decided that with all the furor caused by Barack Obama’s speech in Cairo this week, said furor being completely fake of course, that we would run parts of that speech through the Sport version of the Tafsiranatortm in order to “read between the lines” and get some true insight into what the White House is really up to. Remember, the White House is being run by a professional Israeli-firster who actually volunteered to serve the Israel military, but not the US military. Oh my, again I digress.

Anyway, one item in the speech that attracted lots of attention from all the usual suspects was Obama’s alleged criticism of Israeli settlements on Palestinian land. David Ignatius and Charles Krauthammer,  are really in a huff about the settlements – though Krauthammer is, as usual, so extreme that he is really funny. He doesn’t even need a Tafsiranatortm .

But we have a problem here at Mantiq al-Tayr with the term “settlements” when applied to areas of occupied Palestine that now house over half a million Jews. “Settlements” is such a nice word. The Israelis are “settling” Palestine, making  the desert gloom –er – bloom, as they say.  “Settlements” are nice things, we all want to live in a settlement. Who wants to live in a trailer park or in “sprawl”? No one, but everyone loves settlements – so reminiscent of settling the USA back in the 1800s.

But, as everyone actually knows, these settlements are illegal structures. Furthermore, as Ignatius points out, you can actually get tax breaks by contributing to them if you know how. Yes, the settlements use lots of our money in various ways to carry on their illegal business of stealing Palestinian land and screwing the Palestinians.

So, we took the full text of Obama’s speech and did a search and replace on the word “settlements”.  First of all, we found that the word only appeared twice in the whole condescending supercilious address, so again we wondered why Ignatius, Krauthammer and others are so vexed by the issue. But anyway, we replaced the word “settlements” with “whorehouses” since the settlements basically take our money and screw the Palestinians.  Also, “whorehouses” just has a different ring to it and shows the illegality of the whole operation.

So here is Obama’s original text – the entire portion of his nearly  hour-long address that talks about settlements – but with our search and replace operation completed.

“At the same time, Israelis must acknowledge that just as Israel’s right to exist cannot be denied, neither can Palestine’s. The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli whorehouses. This construction violates previous agreements and undermines efforts to achieve peace. It is time for these whorehouses to stop.”

We ran each of these three sentences through the Sport version of  the Tafsiranatortm and here are the results, sentence by sentence.

Sentence One:  At the same time, Israelis, but not the Israeli government, might want to consider the possibility that that just as Israel’s right to exist cannot be denied, neither can Palestine’s. Comment: while Israelis are thinking about acknowledging Palestine’s right to exist they will continue to take more and more of Palestine’s land, thus acknowledging Palestine’s existence and in the way actually intended by the speechwriter.

Sentence two:  Rahm Emmanuel does not accept the legitimacy of brand new  Israeli whorehouses, but has no problems with the whorehouses already built and which house about half a million Jews. Comment: Since Rahm is an Israeli masquerading as an American the whole sentence is meaningless anyway and requires no interpretation.

Sentence three:  “It is time for these whorehouses to stop, or whatever.” Comment:  Note that the verb “to stop” is being used in an intransitive way. The whorehouses are “to stop” just like a car stops – all by itself. No one is being asked to stop the whorehouses and since the whorehouses by their very nature – just read Charles Krauthammers disgusting piece on the matter – must grow, the US will do nothing to actually stop the whorehouses.
