Have You Killed a Palestinian Today?

May 22, 2009 · 16 Comments

1. In the good old days when the Summer and Winter Olympics were hosted in some really odd country, Canada for some reason comes to mind, the hosts used to be able to introduce their own sport to the smorgasbord of increasingly ridiculous sporting events that are the fruit of the “Olympic Movement” as the rich like to call it. So, maybe the Canadians would have introduced curling but they were beaten to this by the French in 1924. Anyway, a host country could push to have one of its sports as a “demonstration sport” to further the sport’s popularity.

Embracing the universalist elitism of the “Olympic Movement” and keeping in step with the mores of globalism, the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr very much hope that the Olympics will soon be hosted by Israel or by its satellite country, The United States of America. If the games are hosted in the US, then we recommend that waterboarding be introduced as a demonstration sport.  In fact, recent events have provided excellent victims to be publically waterboarded by Israeli-trained CIA contractors and the winner would be the one who gets the most outrageous confession from these four morons who were set up by the FBI. (While Rosen and Weissman get off. Oh, and where the hell is Edward Mosberg? An email from Mantiq al-Tayr to the author of the article sent two days ago asking if Mosberg has come back to the US or not remains unanswered.)

However, in the interests of providing a really entertaining demonstration sport that will stimulate the loins of everyone from AIPAC to Judith Miller, we here at Mantiq al-Tayr held a minyan and bobbed our heads up and down begging Shadai to have the Olympics held in Israel’s eternal capital (no, not New York you smart asses), Jerusalem.

The Israeli national pass time is finding creative ways to murder Palestinian men, women and children. They are very good at it and probably would take the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Still, it’s great fun and I’m sure that the US and the UK would at least give the Izzies a run for their money that they took from us.

So, for example, let’s take the case of Israeli Border patrolmen Shachar Butbika and Dennis al-Hazub. They won a gold medal in 2002 for abducting a 17 year old Palestinian boy, beating the shit out of him, and then kicking him off the top of their patrol car as it roared down the road at 80 kph.  His head smashed into the pavement and the impact killed him. What made this one even more fun was that the boy violated Israeli law by resisting their efforts to toss him off the patrol car – kind of like a battle you have when you catch a big fish and real it in. Hahaha-Aretz reports:

He was beaten by Butbika and then forced to jump from the moving vehicle. He resisted, holding onto the jeep’s roof, but was eventually forced out. One of the officers shouted “he’s dead.” They drove away, without offering medical assistance, and tried to eliminate the evidence.

The 17 year old boy’s name is: ‘Imran Abu Hamdiya

Here is a photo of him.

Imran Abu Hamdiya

Imran Abu Hamdiya

Butbika and al-Hazub also won the silver medal that day as well. For earlier in the day they picked up another Palestinian youth, 20 year old Alaa Sankrut.  Sankrut

was hauled onto the jeep, driven to a discreet location and kicked and beaten with a pickaxe handle, sustaining skull fractures

Unfortunately, Butbika and al-Hazub fucked up and the guy lived, much to the dismay of Rabbis throughout the land.

You anti-Semites might be pleased to know that Butbika, al-Hazub and two more of their cohorts were sentenced to several years in jail recently – having somehow been convicted of manslaughter, yes, manslaughter, not premeditated murder, manslaughter.  They’ll spend about as much time in jail as Michael Vick.

Hunting Palestinians is a game that goes on every day and each day more and more interesting ways of scoring are being invented. This past week two IDF dudes used an ice cream truck to drive around the West Bank. No doubt the truck could be counted on to bring children within point blank range and if you get a clean shot, you get a t-shirt. Unfortunately for these two clowns, they didn’t coordinate their activity with their partners in crime, the Palestinian police, so when the Good Humor Izzies opened fire, the Palestinians fired back – clearly in violation of the Torah.

Yes indeed, Palestinian Plugging can sometimes be a dangerous sport, sort of like automobile racing and sometimes the driver gets killed. Then everyone can mourn and cry and glory in self-sacrifice and in general be a complete total sanctimonious asshole.

For example, in this case, the hunter ended up getting killed by his prey. We learn all about what a wonderful hunter he was, coming to Israel from that great bastion of virulent anti-Semitism known as Canada at the tender age of eight. But 10 years later he was a professional Palestinian Plugger.  He even once tried (in vain) to save the life of a “terrorist” (“terrorist” is the Hebrew term for “Palestinian”) who had been shot by IDF hunters. He was a “big hearted” Palestinian plugger.

Cry me a river.

2. Now that the US economy has gone down the sewer and the banks, all owned by Islamofacists, have gotten about 12 trillion dollars, some of you out there in Mantiq land may be looking for jobs. Well, how about going to Israel to teach English?  Judy Steiner wants you.

“There is always a shortage of English teachers and you have to ask, where are you going to find new ones?” Dr. Judy Steiner, Chief Inspector for English Language Education in Israel told Haaretz.

Given the current financial problems in the United States, the Ministry of Education and the Jewish Agency hope to find more Anglos willing to consider an exciting future in teaching English to Israeli youth.

Just think of what a great challenge this would be. Hebrew only has two tenses, basically past and present. But English has trillions, so teaching the complex and subtle English tenses to semites can be difficult. You’ll have to teach them all sorts of conditional clauses and how to use them properly in English. Examples:

“If I had known he was a Palestinian, I would have thrown him off of the roof of the patrol car.”

How about this real quote:

“We have to make sure that no Palestinian individual remains under our occupation. If they (Palestinians) escape then it is good; but if anyone of them remains, then he should be exterminated”.

Or this real quote:

“behind the Kotel we have a mosque. But when they pray even though they are in our holiest place, they face Mecca. Their back is to Jerusalem. So you can see from only one sign that it does not belong to them. They have nothing – no connection.”

So are you up to the challenge? Your job will be to teach the Hebrew speaking children of Russian immigrants (many of them criminals) to Israel to speak English like Meir Kahane. It’s going to be tough and you need to have the right qualifications.

“Very often when there is a shortage, we put in people who are not completely qualified. But we don’t take in anybody.” Steiner said.

No, they do not just take anybody. It turns out that you have to be a Jew.

Imagine seeing an add in the Chronicle of Higher Education:

Seeking Professor of Middle Eastern History at (blah blah) University. Only Muslims may apply.

So, put on your Yarmulka and get that job. Then you can teach the kids to read the Geneva conventions.

1. Catholics around the world were re-energized and emboldened to speak out on issues ranging from abortion to human rights in the wake of Pope Benedict XVI’s speech at the Yad Vashem Memorial in Jerusalem on May 11, 2009.

Irish Cathlolic O’reilly O’really had this to say: “The fact that the Pope did not get down on his knees in tears begging the Israelis for forgiveness for his having been born in Germany and didn’t give Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau a blow job has really lifted up our spirits here in Dublin” he said as he swizzled down another beer at Murphy’s pub.

Catholics in places as far away as Argentina echoed O’really’s sentiments. Juan Valdez, an unemployed laborer spoke with reporters at his home surrounded by his 15 children. “The fact that he stood up to international Zionism by refusing to kiss Knesset speaker Reuvin Rivlin’s ass on Israeli television has made me proud to be a Catholic again. I might even start going to a Catholic church. Maybe. I don’t know.”

Not surprisingly, many Israelis did not share this kind of enthusiasm concerning the Pope’s visit to Israel. In fact they were outraged at the following comments the Pope actually did make.

He said that the suffering of the Jews killed in World War II must “never be denied, belittled or forgotten.” He added

“They lost their lives, but they will never lose their names,” the Roman Catholic leader said in a quivering voice before clasping the hands of six Holocaust survivors at a haunting ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance. “These are indelibly etched in the hearts of their loved ones, their surviving fellow prisoners, and all those determined never to allow such an atrocity to disgrace mankind again.”

He went on to say:

“As we stand here in silence, their cry still echoes in our hearts,”

Wow. The tuyuur here in Mantiq al-Tayr were so inspired by this slap in the face to the racist Zionist Israeli government that we all went out and bought rosary beads and learned to say Hail Marys.  Unfortunately, you need opposable thumbs to use rosary beads properly, so we ended up making necklaces out of them and gave them to a home for stray cats. But again, I digress.

Not surprisingly, Israeli Jews were outraged at the Pope’s uppity behavior. Their anger was not even assuaged by the fact that a “haunting” ceremony right there at Yad Vashem as part of the Pope’s visit was held in which the Pope clasped the hands of six holocaust survivors and played rock-paper-scissors with them.  The Pope won and as a result was given the opportunity to continue giving boring speeches in Israel and the West Bank, which of course, is exactly what he then did.

Okay, I’m just kidding about the rock-paper-scissors thing. But he did get into the hand holding with the six holocaust survivors, each one symbolizing one million holocaust victims. You can read one version of that story here.  Of course, that version leaves out something. Not only did the Pope meet with the six survivors and with a “righteous gentile” (I think we are going to start referring to Alfred Lillianthal here as a “righteous Jew”) and hold hands and everything, but one of the six is indicted on corruption charges in the United States and had to turn in his US passport but was allowed out of the US for this special occasion. We hope he asked the Pope for forgiveness for this swindling of people in the United Sates and had to do some penance – maybe saying 1000 Hail Mary’s. We’ve still got some rosary beads left over if he needs them. His wife and children were allowed to go with him.  Did you even have to ask?

His name is Edward Mosberg.  According to this article he is only thought to have been engaged in bribery and fraud for TWENTY years and three others have already been convicted in the scheme.

This quote is from an absolute must read article about Mosberg.  “Mosberg remained overseas on Tuesday and was expected to return to the United States in about a week, his lawyer said.”

But once again, I digress.

Anyway, the Pope’s speech was not adequately suck-upy enough for the Israelis and he was pretty harshly criticized. Some of the comments made about the speech were pretty revealing. Howard Schneider, an obvious Islamofacist, wrote a negative article that appeared in the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post and many other papers.

“The identity of the murderers went completely unmentioned,” Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, who heads the Yad Vashem Council, said in the daily Maariv.

“With all due respect to the Holy See, we cannot ignore the burden he bears,” Israeli parliament speaker Reuven Rivlin said on Israel Radio. He added that Benedict spoke “as if he were a historian, someone looking in from the sidelines.”

Israeli critics said the German-born pope missed an opportunity to express regret for his country’s central role in the extermination of 6 million Jews.

“You were not asked to do something unprecedented or heroic. All that was required from you was a brief, authoritative and touching sentence. All you had to do was to express regret. That’s all we wanted to hear,” wrote Hanoch Daum, a columnist for the Yedioth Ahronoth daily.

Not surprisingly, that great Israeli humanist Tom Segev, the one who advocates war crimes against the people of Gaza, just had to put in his two shekels worth.

He attempts to smear the entire leadership of the entire Catholic Church because the Pope didn’t grovel enough to his satisfaction. Red highlights are mine.

There is nothing easier than expressing real horror when talking about the Holocaust, than identifying with its suffering, pain and grief. If that is not done, it is a sign that there was a deliberate decision not to do so.

Segev even hints to the reader that his own criticism of the Pope is bogus when he writes:

Benedict is aware of the historical responsibility that rests on his shoulders as both a German and a Christian. He supports annulling the statute of limitations on prosecuting Nazi criminals in Germany and has visited Yad Vashem once before. On more than one occasion, he has expressed empathy for Jews and for Israel.

But since the demand for total submission to the demands of the holocaust has become so ingrained in the Israeli body politic, Segev goes on to bitch and moan as if he just can’t help it.

But the word the pope used is significant because someone in the Holy See decided to write “were killed” instead of “murdered” or “destroyed.” The impression is that the cardinals argued among themselves over whether Israelis “deserve” for the pope to say “were murdered” and decided they only deserve “were killed.” It sounded petty. Even the recurring use of the term “tragedy” seemed like an attempt to avoid saying the real thing.

The verbal stinginess Benedict displayed last night also diminishes the impact of anything he might say about Palestinian suffering. Had he said what he needed to on the Holocaust, he could have said more to condemn Israel’s systematic violation of the human rights of residents of the West Bank and Gaza.

The paragraph above is the real key. The holocaust, or rather slavish devotion to it at the expense of one’s dignity, is being used once again to ward off any criticism of the horrible crimes that continue to be committed by Israelis against the Palestinian people.  Unless you worship at the holocaust alter, you can’t say a word about the evil that is being perpetrated upon the Palestinians by the likes of guys like Segev – who no doubt sees himself as a good guy.

All this coming from a country that has an elected leader who advocates getting rid of the Palestinians and a foreign minister who is arguably even worse.

What’s a Pope to do?

2. The fact is that nothing can ever satisfy Israel’s lust for Holocaust worship so it wouldn’t have mattered what the Pope said; in the end the Tom Segevs of this world and the many who are far worse than he would still never be satiated and would continue to reject calls for true justice for the Palestinians. So there is no need for spiritual leaders, or anyone else, to grovel before the Holocaust in order to then be able to beg Israel to stop murdering Palestinians.  Sadly, there are few true spiritual leaders in this world and the Pope’s performances this past week highlight this fact in bold.

Therefore we here at Mantiq al-Tayr humbly offer the readers of this blog a text that the Pope might have read.

We are gathered today on this solemn occasion at Yad Vesham, a vital institution now four times its original size, in honor of those so brutally murdered and the millions more whose suffering can never be calculated but who managed to survive this terrible event, the Shoah, the Holocaust. All Catholics and no doubt all Christians around the world will never forget anything that they did or did not do that led to this horror.

We are also gathered here today to mourn the fact that out of the ashes of Europe at the end of World War II, the most horrible war ever fought on the face of the earth, the Holocaust emerged as a tool that for decades has been used to justify the very sorts of acts that we are gathered here today to condemn. The unspeakable horrors committed against European Jewry have given birth to further horrors in their own image. Unless we Christians and you Jews all acknowledge that we are fallen, that we are capable of and have committed and continue to commit horrible crimes against our fellow human beings, we are condemned to keep doing so forever more.

In that spirit, I call upon the people of Israel to cease their crimes against the Palestinian people, to withdraw from the lands they occupy and to live in peace with their Christian and Muslim neighbors, and to allow those displaced from their homes to return to them. I know this is hard, but it is time for us all to acknowledge that the Palestinians are as much a victim of the Holocaust as the Jews, for it is the Palestinians who have had to pay the price for generation upon generation of European anti-Semitism and imperialism. I call upon the entire world to participate in restoring the people of Palestine to health, we owe them more than we can ever repay and we owe it in the name of the Holocaust. The Catholic Church is prepared to do its part and I have ordered that it begin doing so immediately.

It is time for us all to come out of the shadows of hypocrisy, lying and deceit. Throughout the history of mankind we have only seen ourselves through a glass darkly, but now we must, as God is my witness, we must see one another face to face. I pledge to the rank and file of the Catholic Church and to the rest of mankind that this temporary custodian of the shoes of St. Peter will henceforth show you a more excellent way.

Notes, Quotes, Hate Speech and Goats

May 10, 2009 · 28 Comments

1. Mike Rivero made a most interesting comment during one of his excellent radio shows this week when he noted that with all the torture stuff coming out now we can really see just how much lying we’ve been subjected to by our so-called leaders.  He noted, correctly, that there is probably much much more that we’ve been lied to about that has never ever been brought up. Well, we here at Mantiq al-Tayr have come up with a potential solution that will enable our learning what it is that we don’t know that we don’t know that we don’t know – whatever. Anyway, we got that solution from the disgusting Michael Scheuer who about two weeks ago in the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post had an article in the Outlook section that promoted torturing detainees because torture, according to Scheuer, works. I’m not even going to link to his disgraceful anti-America article. If you want to read it, go look for it yourself. He’s not worth reading and it is because of people like him that the CIA is the sick and perverted institution that it is. At least he’s not there anymore. But, yet again, I digress.

Since “our” or should I say “Israel’s” congressional leadership is composed of liars who support torture, I suggest that we have Mossad Jane, Nuremburg Nancy, Death-camp Diane and a host of others arrested and have them waterboarded, slam their heads against walls, and expose them and their children to wild insects. Then maybe we can find out what else it is they are hiding from us.

Just a thought.

2. There’s lots of the usual bitching and moaning among the Israel-first lobby about how the Obama administration is screwing Israel by making the mildest of suggestions that just maybe, perhaps just for a few seconds, Israel might, pretty please, might want to think about obeying international law. Researching some of this has been fun and has led to my finding some really hilarious quotes.

Am I the only one noticing that Obama and Biden are not so much assembling staff, as gathering a minyan?

Here is a howler of an article. The title itself is worth citing.

Obama Administration Should Defer to Israel’s Expertise

Now at first glance you probably would think that the author was talking about torture techniques. But he isn’t. He’s wailing about the so-called two-state solution being back on the table.

Here’s a sample from the article itself, written by an obvious Islamofascist  named Roz Rothstein. [I bet he is a Shi'ite to boot.}

It was wonderful to see how AIPAC continues to grow and to feel the sense of global support for Israel which fills the air with a steady buzz. Speakers reinforced the importance of the American-Israel relationship and were greeted with applause and standing ovations.

[Good God, what a bunch of traitors these people are]. Anyway, it gets better.

The halls were filled, the mission to avert an Iranian imposed nuclear catastrophe was clear, and the love for Israel was palpable. Yet I left Washington with a heavy heart.

Poor Baby. He was most upset with Death-Camp Diane.

Senator Dianne Feinstein encouraged the large delegation of California voters to help push in this direction. She said, “Talk about it in your synagogues, your communities. Talk about the two-state solution in Israel.

[Gee, if they are talking about politics in the synogogues, shouldn't their tax-exempt status be revoked?].  Not to worry, though, Roz informs us. Israel knows what’s best. It’s more revealing than he realizes.

Contrary to Senator Feinstein’s claim, now does not seem to be the time. Unjustified “excuses” have not prevented a two-state solution. There are real and serious obstacles to its realization.

Yes there are. Israel.

Israel wants peace and knows first-hand the facts on the ground that have prevented it.

A most interesting choice of phrase. The entire settlement movement was based on the premise of creating facts on the ground in order to keep most, or all of, the West Bank.

The U.S. administration should defer to Israel’s expertise, not repeat the misguided policies of the past and impose premature solutions from afar which could have disastrous repercussions.

I see the above quote as an almost unveiled threat. If Obama does anything Israel doesn’t like, then there could be “disastrous repercussions” for him. Kind of like what happened to Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush, Paul Findley, Cynthia McKinney and maybe even JFK.

All supporters of Israel should work together to ensure that the administration does not pressure Israel into premature, dangerous concessions, but treats it as an equal — a sovereign, successful state that desperately wants peace but that knows from bitter experience what will and will not bring peace closer.

“All supporters of Israel” – another nice choice of phrase. What about “supporters of the United States”? But that’ is not what AIPAC and Roz are all about. They are about one thing and one thing only – Israel.

Here’s an insightful quote from another article about Joe “I am a Zionist” Biden’s speech to AIPAC. It shows that all this “tough love” commotion in the Main $tream Media is baloney.

While Biden sought to portray the White House’s emerging policy toward Israel as a break with the preceding administration’s agenda, it actually didn’t differ all that much from the Bush playbook.

Now here’s a great story by a female Islamofacist named Janet Levy. She is pissed, and I mean pissed, because two Jews working with Cindy Sheehan have put up some billboards. She writes like she considers these two Jews to be traitors. I consider them to be Americans. In fact Richard Baehr says that those two Jews are “working for the enemy.” That would be true if you consider the enemy to be the United States.

Here’s the billboard that Jerusalem Janet calls a “billboard of hate.”

bill boards of hate

I like it. Spread it around.

Levy’s article is very much worth reading because it will tell you a lot about the very good people who are behind the billboard.  Some very good organizations that all of you should know about.

3.  Here’s a great link about the massacre at the Gaza Zoo in January 2009. It also contains an article about a previous Israeli massacre of animals at the Gaza Zoo in 2004. I guess the Izzies hate Palestinian animals as much as they hate Palestinians.

From the 2004 article:

The butchered ostrich, the petrified kangaroo cowering in a basement corner, the tortoises crushed under the tank treads – all were held up as evidence of the pitiless nature of the Israeli occupation. . .

The army also initially denied that soldiers deliberately wrecked the zoo that provided Rafah’s children with virtually their only contact with live animals, even ordinary ones such as squirrels, goats and tortoises.

A Kerfluffle, Kerfuffle or Treason?

May 6, 2009 · 38 Comments

In any case, he said, there was no need to spy, “because cooperation is so intimate and effective between Israel and the U.S.”

1. Some web post out there that no one should ever read because it quotes Justin Ramondo saying nasty things about AIPAC has dared to use a term that has all the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr in an even bigger kerfuffle than usual. That is because “genesfan” (we are all for genes here at Mantiq al-Tayr, we just wish more Americans had balls to go with their genes), referred to the Mossad Jane scandal as a “kerfluffle.”

What on earth is a kerfluffle? Is the extra “L” in the word in honor of  Likud Larry Fanklin? And why should Likud Larry be so picked-on? After all, the guys he was passing secrets to got off – in more ways than one no doubt. And you all got screwed. Man, I can hear Deek Jackson laughing now.

Larry Franklin is the guy reported in the news as meeting with Rosen and Weissman and charged with and convicted of doing naughty things with classified information. Unlike Rosen and Weissman, most readers of Mantiq al-Tayr routinely do not meet for lunch with people who:

* Keep dozens of classified documents at their home illegally about Iran and other Middle-East related issues.

*Are close friends with key Neocons including the notorious Michael Ledeen of Iran-Contra, yellow-cake forgery and Iraq-war advocacy fame.

* Need to meet with us in at least four different places in one day, including an empty restaurant. I mean, if a guy was doing this with me, I’d figure he was under surveillance and doing something illegal and I’d report him to the authorities.

* Who, in casual conversation over maybe bagels and lochs, tell us what’s in “a draft of a National Security Presidential Directive that outlined a series of tougher steps that the U.S. could take against the Iranian leadership.”

* Pass us “highly classified” information about potential attacks on American forces in Iraq.

Gee, did I mention that if a guy were saying things like this I’d immediately come to the conclusion that he was doing something illegal and I’d report him to the authorities?

Rosen and Weissman, clearly low IQ morons who only care deeply about the well-being of the United States of America, had an even better idea. They decided that the best thing that could be done with a guy like Larry Franklin, a guy who had access to highly classified information on Iran and a host of other topics and who was working in the Neocon-founded Office of Special Plans in the Pentagon and who clearly wanted to provide classified information to people not authorized to receive it – they decided that instead of reporting him to the authorities they should rather introduce him to Naor Gilon, the”political counselor” at the Israeli embassy. After all, a person with the title of “political counselor” at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. could only be a great guy and could never ever, not ever, be a spy or anything like that. Also, a political counselor at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. is just the type of person anyone would want to have meet regularly with a Neocon with both great access to Pentagon intelligence information  and a big mouth. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? As usual, red emphasis below is mine:

In mid-August of 2002, according to the indictment, Franklin met with Gilon-identified simply as “FO,” or “foreign official”-at a restaurant, and Gilon explained to Franklin that he was the “policy” person at the Embassy. The two met regularly, the indictment alleges, often at the Pentagon Officers’ Athletic Club, to discuss “foreign policy issues,” particularly regarding a “Middle Eastern country”-Iran, by all accounts-and “its nuclear program.” The indictment suggests that Franklin was receiving information and policy advice from Gilon; after one meeting, Franklin drafted an “Action Memo” to his supervisors incorporating Gilon’s suggestions. Gilon is an expert on weapons proliferation, according to Danny Ayalon, the Israeli Ambassador, and has briefed reporters about Israel’s position on Iran. According to Lawrence Di Rita, a Pentagon spokesman, it is part of the “job description” of Defense Department desk officers to meet with their foreign counterparts. “Desk officers meet with foreign officials all the time, not with ministers, but interactions with people at their level,” he said. The indictment contends, however, that on two occasions Franklin gave Gilon classified information.

Wow, who on earth would have thought that that could have happened? Certainly not the great Walter Pincus who used the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post to file an after-the-fact amicus brief on behalf of Rosen and Weissman on May 5th.  Pincus, working entirely from the position of the lawyers for Rosen and Weissman, (who also represented Jack Abramoff) presents the obvious conclusion that everything that was going on was “innocuous.”

Pincus closes his article with:

Along with that of other experts, Leonard’s testimony would “establish that the information was innocuous and that the defendants had every reason to believe that their conduct was innocent,” the lawyers wrote. That was important because Ellis had ruled that the government would have to prove that Rosen and Weissman “disclosed the information knowing that their conduct was illegal, knowing the information was closely held, and knowing that the information was potentially damaging to national security,” according to the lawyers’ letter.

[end quote]

And how could they possibly have known all that?

So it’s time for a Poll.

2. Another cause of avian angst at the last ATPAC (American-Tuyuur Public Affairs Committee) gathering was the question, never fully decided, of whether or not Likud Larry ever did go to jail and if he did, will he be released before, after, or at the same time as Jonathan Pollard? We found many press reports saying that Franklin had been sentenced to 12 years in prison, but we also found a most odd article – entertaining as well – by Ron Kampeas that was recently published. You’ve got to read this:

In this interview at antiwar.com, CQ’s Jeff Stein – who broke the new allegations about U.S. Rep. Jane Harman’s alleged involvement in seeking leniency for Rosen and Weissman – says that the Pentagon leaker at the heart of the affair, Larry Franklin, is in jail, doing 12.5 years and moreover, the sentence is relatively lenient, only because Franklin is expected to cooperate at trial.

That might have come as a surprise to Franklin, who was seen last week hanging around the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, sporting camouflage pants and boots (the weather has been very weird in DC of late. And he is a former Air Force colonel.) I mean, the Ronald Reagan Building is less than inspiring, it’s true, but a prison it’s not.

(Jeff’s not the only one who’s made this mistake – just the latest. I keep hearing references to Franklin being in jail.)

3. Some changes to this little blog will be coming over the next few weeks. We’ll be adding a special Arabic section, possibly a sister blog, for those who share some of Mantiq al-Tayr’s more esoteric Arabic interests.  The main blog will continue its focus on the really weird coverage of the Middle East in general and Israel in particular in the US Main $tream Media and the machinations of the Israeli lobby. Some other things are also in the works, but it’s too early to get into them. Plus, several parts of the blog need to be updated to include the links, the photo of the day and the Ornithoscopy section. Recent events have forced me to neglect these things. You know how it is, so many traitors, so little time.

Conference of Traitors

May 2, 2009 · 144 Comments

1. Goys and girls pay attention. There’s just one day left until the event of the summer takes place and it is an ever so special event marking the legalization of spying on the United States on behalf of Israel. Get your tickets now and cash in.

Yes! AIPAC is Sellebrating May Day at its annual Traitors Conference that opens this Sunday under the theme of “Selling Out America is Fun for the Whole Tribe!”.

This year there will be even more booths and workshops than ever before. You’ll be able to buy classified documents about Iran, China, Egypt, US military technology and the sexual piccadillos of your perverted congressmen (they’ve got some great photos too). Plus, if you pay an extra $1,000 dollars, you can attend the workshop that will reveal whether or not Barrack Hussein Obama is a natural born citizen. Be one of the few to really know and then you too can blackmail the hell out of the White House. Rahm Emmanuel will be leading that oh so special workshop. Unfortunately, the workshop won’t be held on Air Force One while it flies around Manhattan just a few feet away from tall buildings. The test drive for that one didn’t work out as planned.  But hell, we’ve got a great room at the hotel and the booze is on the taxpayer!

Register now before it’s too late. Here’s a sneak preview of what’s in store.

The Happy Hooker: Mossad Jane Harman on How She got to be the 2nd Richest Member of Congress

Mossad Jane (right) and Israeli Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik in Israel

Mossad Jane (right) and Israeli Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik in Israel.

Mossad Jane may even talk about her partner pictured above.

We hear at Mantiq al-Tayr that Nancy Pelosi may be joining this discussion, taking the place of Deborah Jeanne Palfrey. That’s just a rumor, of course.
