Tikkun Golem: Mossad Jane, AIPAC and You

1. The nest of Israeli-firsters, Israeli ass-kissers, dual loyalists and no doubt outright Israeli agents that is known as AIPAC is holding its annual policy conference in Washington, D.C. for three days starting Sunday, May 3. Mossad Jane Harman is scheduled to speak there and no doubt Haim Saban will make an appearance. The questions is, will the Israeli agent to whom Mossad Jane admits talking to on the phone and who allegedly bribed her by dangling the chairmanship of the House Intelligence Committee in front of her be there as well? Very possibly so, especially if that person, who for some very strange reason has never had his name released, is an AIPAC employee.   It sure would be nice if the transcripts with full idents suddenly appeared in the main stream media as the conference begins.  Bet that would put an end to the continuing efforts to stop the trial of former AIPAC employees Rosen and Weissman.

Here’s what the tuyuur have pieced together about the conversation that got Mossad Jane some unwanted exposure. This is all based on main stream media and blog reports of various parts of the story.

Mossad Jane is on the phone with an unnamed “Israeli agent“. Now an “agent” of Israel would be an American citizen working on behalf of Israel. And in fact, Mossad Jane has publicly acknowledged that she knows which conversation is the one at the height of the current controversy and that the person she was talking to was an American citizen. (We know this thanks to Dr. Juan Cole, the only Kennedy-liberal type I know whose blog should be ready regularly. Dr. Cole has a good reason to pinch the ass of the Israeli lobby since it played a major part in screwing him out of a job at Harvard University.)  So, it appears, this American Mossad Jane was on the phone with was working on behalf of Israel and thus was an Israeli agent. Now, according to the New York Times and picked up by Mondoweiss, the person Mossad Jane was talking to told her that he would have a major figure in California threaten Pelosi by withholding campaign contributions from her. That “California” figure is reportedly Haim Saban, a billionaire who came to the United States from Israel.

So, who was the person Mossad Jane was talking to who was suspected of being an Israeli agent? Saban already is one and, so it seems, so is Mossad Jane. Who’s that third guy? Does he work for AIPAC like Rosen and Weissman?

We think it would be a good idea for the FBI to go back into AIPAC’s offices this Sunday with warrents while the organization is holding its Israel love fest and maybe have a look around.

We also think it would be a good idea if the independent media would attend AIPAC’s version of Bohemian Grove and carefully report what is said and WHO is in attendance.  Maybe they’ll even get to interview Mossad Jane herself.

2. Many have commented on how interesting it is that Mossad Jane was a strong supporter of questionable wire-tapping schemes that Alberto Gonzales favored and that he may have even used evidence gathered against her to keep her on key.  Not so sure about that last point, but there is no doubt that the Zionist Golem is a major player in the erosion of the rights of every-day US citizens.  Despite all the blathering on about the concept of “healing the world” (tikkun olam) that the “Zionist light” crowd, to borrow once again Xymphora’s phrase, likes to attribute to liberal and progressive Judaism, there is quite another side to this concept and I think you had just better pay attention to it folks.

Rabbi Avi Shafran, the head of public affairs for the charming Agudath Israel of America, informs us that tikkun olam has been grossly misrepresented by the liberal Jewish community in the course of  his review of a number of meanings of the phrase. He quotes Maimonides on the concept:

“[In] any case where someone takes human lives without clear proof [of a capital offense] or the issuance of a warning, or even on the strength of a single witness [as two are required in a Jewish court], or where a person hates someone and kills him [seemingly] by accident, a king is permitted to execute [the unjustified taker of life] in order to repair the world ["li'saken ha'olam"] according to the needs of the time to strike fear and shatter the strength [literally, "break the hand"] of the world’s perpetrators of evil.”

Gee, isn’t that nice?  Shafran’s view on this is even more horrifying than the quote itself:

First he paraphrases the quote to make sure the reader understands what this most famous of Jewish thinkers has written (as usual red highlighting is mine):

And so, Maimonides informs us, there is yet another meaning to tikkun olam, the authorization of a nation’s leader to do whatever is necessary, “according to the needs of the time” - even suspend the ordinary rules of evidence in capital cases - to preserve the security of his society from those who seek to disrupt it.

Shafran very much approves of this and poses the question of how the Maimonidean concept of tikkun olam might pertain to our own society, leaders and times.

I hope you are sitting down. Ready? Here goes:

Reasonably, it would seem to advocate the right, in fact the responsibility, of the chief executive of a country threatened by murderous elements to take strong and unusual action to undermine those enemies of civilized society – even if some personal rights may be compromised in the process.

So, interestingly, the concept of tikkun olam would seem to argue most eloquently today for things like, say, the imprisonment of enemy combatants, secret wiretaps and surveillance of citizens.

And thanks to people like Mossad Jane and her AIPAC and NeoCon buddies, that’s exactly what we have.

3. Mossad Jane never did get that job she was reportedly offered as the chair of the House  Intelligence Committee even though she is said to have agreed to do the bidding of an “Israeli agent” by working to get the AIPAC spy trial killed.  The chirping here at Mantiq al-Tayr has brought us to the conclusion that she did not get the job because of the scandal over this very issue that was in the media back in 2006 when she could have been appointed. Pelosi, who may hate Harman – which is about the only good thing about Pelosi that I can imagine – probably didn’t appoint Harman to the post because if she had done so, the transcripts that are the center of controversy today (and back in 2006) probably would have been released.  This would have shed so much light on the Israeli lobby that we would have seen them all running for cover like kitchen cockroaches in a slum owned by Sam Zell.

4. We want to thank Hesham Tillawi and his weekly radio show on RBN called “Current Issues” for the “Mossad Jane” reference. Furthermore, last time we promised you that we would teach you all how to say the name “Hesham.” His name is not Heyshaaam, nor is it Heshem nor Hessian, nor Hshem, nor even just plain old Heeeesham. No, no, no. Even his friends at RBN like the great Michael Collins Piper can’t say his name right. As for the guest host on his show, Mark Glenn, he’s pretty much hopeless on this one issue and he even has Arabic blood in his veins.  So let’s learn to say it correctly. Our guest teacher for this lesson is no less than Mossad Jane herself.

Isn't she lovely?

By the way, has anyone else noticed that many of the callers in to Hesham’s radio show lately are morons?

Mooselims

1. The Tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr have their feathers in a huge kerfuffle over the horrible pronunciation of Arabic words in the US’s Main $tream Media (M$M) and, we are sad to report, also in the alternative media. So today, Mantiq al-Tayr is going to give you all a pictorial Ayraabic lesson on a most critical word that is mispronounced by everyone from Jeff Rense to your favorite M$M anchor-creature.  That word is “Muslim”.

First of all, it is NOT pronounced “Mooselim”! Mooselims are Muslims with antlers.

These people are Muslims:

Below are pictures of “Mooselims”. You can see they are quite different.

Some Mooselims only have two legs. You can find them at the Moose Lodge.

4-legged Mooselims sometimes are hunted by people in places like Canada and Idaho. So they are always on the lookout for this:

Never again!

Never again!

On the other hand, Muslims at the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque have to look out for these hunters:

Let the hunt begin!

Let the hunt begin!

Who are these hunters? They are called Jooselims.  Jooselims love to kill Muslims, but almost never kill Mooselims.

So, for example, this Jooselim (the one on the left)

A meeting that the Joose lodge

Wants to attack these Muslims in Iran:

Hey, what are they smoking? :-)

So that these Jooselims can keep the land they stole:

Ross will no doubt use Sitting-Gooselims to attack the Muslims on behalf of the Jooselims.

So, is everyone ready for their pronunciation lesson? Good.

The lovely Mary Stepford is going to assist us in this matter by pronouncing this word for you correctly. So please listen to Mary.

Now the word is made of two syllables. The first is “Mus” pronounced like the first syllable of the name Mukasy, but not quite.

Here’s how you say “Muslim“.

Here’s how you say “mooselim

Here’s how you say “jooselim

Got that now?

Next week we will teach you how to say Hesham.

2. If the press reports we are reading about Jane Harman are true, then she is a traitor. Fittingly, she is speaking at the AIPAC conference being held May3-5 in Washington, D.C. No doubt a host of other traitors will be there too. I wonder if she will have lunch with Steve Rosen.

Praise G-d: Muslim Spy Ring Smashed

1. Breaking News:

Hisham Hariri Abdul-Al-Abdul, writing in today’s edition of Ayrab News, has quite a scoop that no doubt will soon be covered in the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post. It turns out that Congresswoman Jenin Hurani [Labor, New York] was overheard by Israeli intelligence speaking with a suspected agent of Syria known as Jihad Abdul, the chair of the American Islamofascist Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Jihad told Jenin Hurani that if she would use her influence to have charges dropped against Jihad Johnny he would have Prince Bender bin Insult contribute to her upcoming campaign against Ehud Barruch Shlomo Avigdor . He also said he would use his influence with the Islamofascist lobby in Washington to help her get the Chairmanship of the House Corruption Committee where she would be able to oversea all corruption engaged in by the members of the House of Representatives.

Immediately after the story appeared, Congressman Hurani’s home was searched by the FBI and she was detained under provisions of the Patriot Act. That same day, Jihad Abdul was killed in a shootout in his house after a SWAT team kicked in his door, shot his children who were playing al-Qa’ida Monopoly in their living room, and then shot Abdul when he came at them with a Damascene sword.

As for Prince Bender, he was allowed to turn himself in to authorities in the Southern District of New York where he is being held without bail while being water-boarded and having his head slammed against the walls of his cell.

Abdul-Al-Abdul, a Syrian citizen living in exile, said he has known about the story for years and that it was just a coincidence that he reported it the day before Israel’s invasion of Syria which so far has resulted in the death of 10,000 civilians and one Syrian military official who was just too slow to run away to Aleppo with the rest of the Syrian military.

2. It is now legal to engage in espionage against the United States on behalf of Israel.

3. As you all know, we here at Mantiq al-Tayr love cats. As part of our support for our feline friends, as least the ones who are not Islamofasist spies working on behalf of Syria, we call upon the Anti-Defamation League to join our efforts to let this poor cat in from the cold.

Dennis Ross Must Resign!

Help Prevent a War: Demand that Dennis Ross Resign

1. “Early in 2009″ Dennis Ross, a professional Israeli firster who has infiltrated the US government for a period that spans three decades, stepped down from his job as the chairman of the board of an organization whose “core state” is Israel in early 2009.  This could only mean, of course, that he is back at his regular job. No, not working for AIPAC’s think-tank that he helped found and then directed for 7 years after the Clinton administration’s ability to serve Israel came to an end in 2001, but rather it means that he is back to working for Israel on a salary funded by US taxpayers. He is handling Iranian affairs at the State Department. Dennis Ross must be removed from office. He gives every appearance of being an agent of a foreign government whose entire professional career shows a deep and abiding loyalty to the state of Israel.  He therefore cannot be trusted to place the interests of the United States first.

* Ross served as chairman of the board from 2002 to January of 2009 of an organization dedicated solely to Jews and to the State of Israel. The Jewish People People Policy Planning Institute describes Israel as its “core state” on its own website and as part of its work regularly briefs Israeli government officials. The organization itself is filled with Israelis.

* Ross is the co-founder, along with another Israeli-first and US-government infiltrator Martin Indyk, of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), the think tank for the Israeli lobby organization known as AIPAC.

* From 2001 to 2008 Ross was the Chairman of WINEP, stepping down to the level of a “consultant” for WINEP in 2008 while also becoming an Obama Middle East advisor. This means that for virtually the entire George W. Bush administration Ross was the Chairman of two organizations dedicated solely to the state of Israel, JPPPI and WINEP, an AIPAC-related outfit. Please remember that right now two members of AIPAC are on trial for engaging in espionage against the United States on behalf of Israel.

* Dennis Ross has now taken over complete control of the US policy towards Iran at the State Department. Everything at State regarding Iran must be run through the “empire” he has built there.

*Dennis Ross has long been a supporter of using force against Iran and regards negotiations with Iran with great suspicion. In fact, based on the items to which I am linking in this post, I have come to the conclusion that under Dennis Ross US negotiations with Iran will inevitably fail and this failure will be used to start a war with Iran. See here and here. Here’s a nice quote: More seriously, a former White House official says that Ross has told colleagues that he believes the United States will ultimately have no choice but to attack Iran in response to its nuclear program.

* There are also more and more indications that Israel, the “core state” of the JPPPI which Ross chaired for about 7 years, is preparing its own attack against Iran under the Netanyahu regime. See here for a Fox news report from April 17 (which was also the lead story on the Zionist Coast to Coast program over the weekend) and here for excerpts from a horrifying interview with Netanyahu himself from late March, 2009.  (And see here for a follow up.)There is no doubt that if Ross’s “core state” attacks Iran that Ross’s tool-state will be drawn in militarily as well.

We here at Mantiq al-Tayr call upon all who care about these United States to support the following demand:

Dennis Ross must resign immediately from his position at the US State Department and his role at State must be assumed by a professional diplomat of unquestioned-loyalty to the United States and who possesses some expertise on Iran.

All bloggers, great and small, please support this cause. This one post on this site is not copy-written and may be cut and pasted and placed on any site.

2. Why do I feel a need to link to this brief excerpt from “Snakes on a Plane“?

Rahm! Bam! Thank You Maam!

1. Rahm Israel Emmanuel, who did volunteer work for the Israeli military but not for the US military, was featured on the front page of the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post on April 13th and portrayed as if it were he and not Barrack Hussein Obama, a likely natural born US citizen, who is the messiah. The fawning puff piece provided many clues to the careful observer as to just who it is that is running this country. It also managed to bring up Emmanuel’s Wikipedia entry without referencing his Israeli military service and his support only for pro Iraq war Democratic candidates in 2006, nor the fact that Emmanuel’s father was a member of the terrorist Irgun gang, that Rahm went to summer camp in Israel and that the family changed its last name to Emmanuel in honor of a relative who was killed in Jerusalem. It’s almost as if the author of the piece wanted to write about these things but could not and so was asking her readers to look it up for themselves.  Almost.

We at Mantiq al-Tayr found the comments by Rep. Peter T. King [Likud, New York] to be particularly weird. Among other things, King says he doesn’t mind being beaten by Emmanuel:

King added: “If he can knock me off in the next election, he will, and I totally accept that.”

King is so proud of his contribution to the article written by Shailagh Murray in the JWNYTP, that he posted the article to his website.  We at Mantiq al-Tayr find this to be bizarre.

2. The article also did not talk about Emmanuel’s rabbi in Chicago, Asher Lopatin, who is one of the most influential rabbis in the United States,  and serves on the executive committee of the Rabbinical Council of America (RCA).  The RCA completely supported Israel’s actions in Gaza in December of 2008 and January of 2009 and issued a statement that reads in part (red highlights are mine):

The Rabbinical Council of America fully supports the government of Israel in its campaign to stop heinous terrorist attacks directed for too long against Israeli civilians. Hamas must bear full responsibility for the current loss of life in Gaza, in light of its direct complicity in encouraging, supporting, and carrying out acts of Islamist terror. . .

We commend the government of the United States for its unambiguous support of Israel’s actions over the last few days. We congratulate the Bush administration for its recognition that responsibility for the violence lies entirely on the heads of the leaders, enablers, and supporters of Hamas and its allies. As with the pursuit of Al-Qaeda and its offshoots, terror must be met with resolve and force, as needed.

Lopatin is quite familiar with Emmanuel’s loyalty to Israel, as this excerpt from an interview Lopatin did about Emmanuel makes clear:

Do you think Emanuel’s Israeli roots and religious practice will reassure Jews who are skeptical of Barack Obama’s commitment to Israel?

I think they will, and I think that even more significant is his work in the Clinton administration and his reputation as someone who wants to promote successful policies, policies that have broad-based support. I think it’ll assure people that the Obama administration, if anything, will have very pleasant surprises and no real nasty surprises.

Another interesting question and answer in the same interview:

Do you think that rabbis in the Orthodox world are calling Emanuel a traitor to Orthodoxy in Judaism?

No, not at all. I think they’re giddy. Everyone’s giddy. Certainly Orthodox Rabbis are very happy and very proud of him, you know? There’s some disagreement over policy and all that, but I would say we’re very excited to have someone who’s a member of a modern Orthodox synagogue right there in the White House helping to shape the future administration and their actions.

Lopatin informs us in that very same interview that in the DC area Emmanuel likes Rabbi Jack Moline, a rabbi who on the surface appears to be a moderate or a centrist.  Do a search on him and see if you can stand reading his prose.  He is a quintessential example of what Xymphora calls “Zionism light.” But he may be getting heavier. He spoke at the 2007 meeting of John Hagee’s Christians United for Israel Group justifying doing so thusly:

The Jewish Week quoted Rabbi Moline as saying: “We’re no longer in a position of being too selective in choosing our friends,” and citing “the threat posed by Iran and Israel’s growing isolation.”

We at Mantiq al-Tayr await with some trepidation the “very pleasant surprises” that the Obama administration,  with Rahm Israel Emmanuel at its helm, will bring to the war weary and bankrupt population of these United States.

3. Thank G-d for our troops dying for Israel in Afghanistan and Iraq that the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated is now on the supermarket shelves with a very revealing cover photo of draft-dodging Israeli model Bar Rafaeli on the cover. I’m sure it has made its way to bases in Iraq and Afghanistan by now. Now we at Mantiq al-Tayr only read  SI’s swimsuit issue for the articles, just like we do the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post, and would advise our troops to do the same.  Bar, what a name, has become a very controversial figure in the Jewish state because she managed to evade the Israeli draft, move to the United States, and then made fun of serving in the Israeli military. So we can understand why the those poor Israelis she has left behind are so outraged. I can hear them bitching and moaning over matzah bread  “The White House Chief of Staff volunteered to serve for the Israeli army, why can’t this little b****?”

Bar has an answer to this in which she also deliberately mocks an Israeli hero, Joseph Trumpledor.

“I really wanted to serve in the IDF, but I don’t regret not enlisting, because it paid off big time,” she said. “That’s just the way it is, celebrities have other needs. I hope my case has influenced the army. “ Israel or Uganda, what difference does it make? It makes no difference to me. Why is it good to die for our country? What, isn’t it better to live in New York? Why should 18-year-old kids have to die? It’s dumb that people have to die so that I can live in Israel,Refaeli added.

Yes, Bar it is dumb. It is also evil.  How many more people must die around the world so that a minority of Jews can live in Israel? Next time I’m at the supermarket  maybe I’ll pick up a copy of SI. If I ever run in to you, I’ll ask you to autograph it.

Oh Chanada! Canada Declares Independence from the United States

1. Canada, which since at least 1867 has been a suburb of the United States, has finally broken away and become an independent nation. Israel recognized the new state immediately.  Governor General Michaelle Jean’s position has been replaced by the Office of the Chief Rabbi. It is expected that the Chief Ashkhenazi Rabbi  in Israel, Yona Metzger, will soon appoint someone to that post.  However, Yosef Shalom Elaishiv, the man behind Metzger, will no doubt be the one who really makes the choice. No one knows who will appoint the French  Rabbi at this time. Stay tuned.

Prime Minister Steve Harper, below, consecrates his country’s new status and celebrates the nation’s name change.

Steve Harper, the Prime Minister of the Newly Declared State of Chanada

Steve Harper, the Prime Minister of the Newly Declared State of Chanada

2. Yona the barbarian Metzger is an interesting creature in his own Reich. Back during the Israeli massacre of anything in Gaza that moved this great humanitarian came up with a final solution for Gaza that the Gazans, ungrateful wretches that they are, have not even bothered to thank him for. He suggests that all of them be moved to the Sinai Peninsula. (Please note: this would be a war crime.) But it gets better, he wants the United States and the EU to pay for it! That’s chutzpah with a capital CH!

Metzger, like Rep. Eliot Engel (Likud, New York), does not feel that Palestinians have a place in Jerusalem whatsoever.  His reasoning is, well, Talmudic:

In the interview Metzger also described Jerusalem as “the capital city forever to the Jewish nation.” He argued that Muslims have no connection to Jerusalem commenting that “behind the Kotel we have a mosque. But when they pray even though they are in our holiest place, they face Mecca. Their back is to Jerusalem. So you can see from only one sign that it does not belong to them. They have nothing – no connection.”

As you would expect from the quotes above, Metzger sees himself as ecumenical, especially if his ecumenism involves bashing Muslims.

On a February 2007 trip to India, Metzger joined other prominent rabbis in signing a declaration against violence with local Hindu leaders, as part of a summit organized by the World Council of Religious Leaders. One of the points emphasized by the participants was the commonality between Jews and Hindus, particularly in regards to ongoing violence at the hands of Muslims. Metzger noted in his remarks that “Jews have lived in India for 2,000 years and have never been discriminated against. This is something unparalleled in human history.”

Yona Metzger is controversial in Israel itself for a number of reasons, some of them having to do with the highly idiosyncratic constituencies in the Israeli secular and religious body politic – very similar to infighting among the Russian communists. But there is also this:

Metzger had never served as a religious judge (dayan), though his role as Chief Rabbi would require him to sit as President of the Rabbinical Supreme Court for five years, before switching with his Sephardic counterpart to be head of the Chief Rabbinate Council.[24] Outgoing Sephardic Chief Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi-Doron wrote a formal letter to the Chief Rabbinic Council complaining about Metzger’s appointment. In his letter, Bakshi-Doron described a 1998 rabbinical investigation into Metzger’s personal conduct and credentials, following the publicizing of multiple accusations of sexual harassment, forged signatures on wedding contracts, fraud and threatening other rabbis.[25] The commission of rabbis found Metzger’s explanations of his actions “insufficient” and ruled him “unfit to serve as a rabbi.” The commission, which included Rabbi Shlomo Amar, later agreed to drop the ruling on condition that Metzger withdraw his candidacy for chief rabbi of Tel Aviv, which he did. Bakshi-Doron was incensed to learn that, five years later, Metzger had now entered into the race for Chief Rabbi of the state. He called his appointment “a desecration of God’s name.”[26]

3. Let’s talk about OJ Simpson.  I mean we can’t always be talking about the Middle East and Zionism and all that stuff, right folks? So let’s talk about everyone’s favorite running back, movie star, murderer, wife beater and moron.  Okay, I can hear it now, “Mantiq, he is a wife beater and a moron and has proven that repeatedly. But a murderer? How can you say such a thing? After all, he was acquitted, n’est-ce pas?” (The French is in honor of the readers of this site from CQuebec, the French part of Chanada.)

Well  here’s the deal. Michael Collins Piper,  a very controversial figure who has said and written some utterly outlandish things about Israel (for example, MCP firmly holds the opinion that what the Israelis did in Gaza recently is evil, unlike the ADL , Eliot Engel,  and Yona Metzger), but let’s leave that aside for now, has come up with a new perspective on the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. He does not claim to have found the true killer and he does not proclaim OJ innocent. He does note that his elderly mother and her “little old lady” friends at the time of the trial all thought OJ was innocent, but Piper says he cared not a wit about the case when it happened and is not a sports fan either. However, he ended up doing some research on the case and found some interesting things about a woman named Michelle. He talked at length about this on the Republic Broadcasting Network on April 6, 2009.  Here is an excerpt from his presentation. If you want to hear the whole thing, you can subscribe to RBN’s archives for $1.33 a month [4 million Chanadian] and do so on a monthly basis. You know, President Obama, who is probably a natural born US citizen, should have provided free subscriptions to RBN’s archives as part of his stimulus package. But, again, I digress. Below is the link. Listen to the Piper and then download the rest if you want to know more. (You will.)

Rep. Eliot Engel: Israel’s Man in Washington

The new Israeli Ambassador to the United States, so it seems, is Eliot L. Engel who is also the Congressional Representative of the Likud Party to the 17th Congressional District of New York.  He is expected by the experts here at Mantiq al-Tayr to keep both positions at the same time, since many Israeli-firsters are allowed to do the same thing, including Jonathan Pollard, an Israeli spy who  was allowed to work at the US Naval Yard for a few years while pretending to be an American. Pollard behaved brazenly as an obvious “kook” who gave all indications of being a spy, but nothing was done that resulted in preventing him from stealing over 1 million documents. Naturally, Eliot L. Engel is an advocate of Pollard’s release from prison. But, once again, I digress.

Engel usurped the Israeli Ambassador (read “Vice-Roy) to the United States’ role brazenly on April 6, 2009 in the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post’s “Letters to the Editor” section.  We at Mantiq al-Tayr thought this was a cool way of  taking over the job and we congratulate him for his “hutzpah”.

It seems that the JWNYTP published an editorial on March 31st that was ever so mildly critical of the viciously racist government that the people of Israel just elected.  It’s pretty boring, but if you want to read it go here.

Anyway, Eliot  L. (let my Jonahthan go) Engel was outraged and came to the defense of what he admits is a “Jewish state” and accused the JNWNYTP of ignoring all the things the Palestinians have to do to before the Israelis stop stealing their land and butchering their women and children. Normally, as beleaguered former readers of the JWNYTP know all too well, this sort of letter to the editor is what an ambassador writes to the Post after it has published something making his country look bad. But thank God the Israelis have Engel to take on these tasks to free the nominal Israeli ambassador to do only G-d knows what other tasks.

Fortunately, Engel has some good points. He likes Italians as we see from this citation (red text is my emphasis, as usual):

“He was the prime sponsor of the Congressional resolution recognizing Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel, and he wrote the bill designating October as Italian American Cultural and Heritage Month.”

He is also clearly against the war in Iraq:

Eliot Engel was a strong supporter of a massive military campaign against Iraq in 2002, refusing to meet with and ultimately rebuffing constituents who asked him to vote against the measure. On October 10, 2002, he was among the 81 House Democrats who voted in favor of authorizing the invasion of Iraq. As the war dragged on, his position changed. He now responds to questions about his support for the war by saying that had he known then what he now knows, he would have acted differently.

For example, he probably would not have taken over $99,000 dollars from pro Israeli outfits in 2007-2008 and instead started a toy drive for hospitalized Palestinian children.  Actually he didn’t offer to do the toy drive, we just suggest it as one possible alternative.

Of course, his sponsorship of the Syrian Accountability Act, has nothing to do with the money he gets from the Jewish Lobby and was balanced by years of his fighting against Israeli’s occupation of Lebanon and its war on Hizballah in 2006. :-)

Understandably, his support of Israel goes back to his childhood when he just couldn’t help but root for a Jewish state.

My strong support of the state of Israel has its roots in my childhood when I first learned about the then-young Jewish state, and, since then, I have never wavered in my belief in a strong and vital U.S.-Israel relationship. I can only say that my support for Israel today in the United States Congress began long before I was elected and will continue long after I leave office. This is a basic, bedrock principle in which I believe.

This of course has nothing to do with Engel being a Muslim fundamentalist.

Of course, it’s nice to stand up for what you believe in. And since Engel seems to think he is the Israeli ambassador to the United States he no longer wishes to be considered a resident of the State of New York. Instead, he wishes to be a resident of Maryland where he, and may other so-called representatives live, as do, no doubt, many other overt Israeli diplomats. Although he wants to be an official Maryland resident, he wants to still “represent” the 17th district in New York.

He continued to claim Maryland as his primary residence and appealed. He lost the appeal last month. He has given no indication of running in Maryland’s 8th district where he has claimed his primary residency for at least the past 6 years. He plans on defending his congressional seat in the 17th district of NY despite his insistence of Maryland residency

Well why not? After all, he is representing Israel no matter where he lives.

It’s time for some serious House cleaning, and I suggest that the 17th district of New York is as good a place to begin as any.

Cats and Arabs and the USS Liberty

1. Obadiah Shoher is the pen name of a “veteran politician” who left the USSR for Israel. He has a website called Sampson Blinded which expresses in very clear prose the bigoted notions we see in the likes of those such as Judea Pearl who is hard at work, as is Abe Foxman, trying to establish the claim that to be anti-Zionist is to be anti-Semitic.

Why did Shoher name his blog (and a book he authored) “Sampson Blinded?”  Biblical Samson, blinded by the Philistines, killed thousands of them in (a) suicide attack. Israeli nuclear weapons are aptly called the Samson Option.

How lovely. At least we know now who it was who invented suicide missions in the region.

Mr. Shoher does not think that Jews should just engage in suicide attacks. Rather, he believes they should be much more on the offensive. Among the tactics he endorses is the murder of POWs. He acknowledges that Israel has killed ” a lot” of Arab POW’s and he approves. Red text below is my emphasis.

Jews need not be perfect, but rather normal, and that includes committing normal atrocities. Yes, we did attack some UN buildings, and have no qualms about that. Even more, in many areas IDF soldiers received an order to shoot at everything that moves, cats and Arabs included. Still more, when IDF was the IDF, we used to kill POWs, and a lot of them. Not some right-wingers, because the commanders were all leftists, but mainstream Jewish soldiers killed scores of Syrian and Egyptians POWs. I can justify the killing on religious grounds or by necessity, but that would be superfluous. Yes, we killed POWs like every other nation did, including Americans, Canadians, and Australians. The Egyptians screamed after a silly Israeli movie showed IDF massacring their POWs, and Israeli establishment wrung their hands that that is just a movie, a fantasy. Now, there is no fantasy in my words: we indeed killed a lot of Egyptian POWs, especially in 1967, less in 1973.

I have no problem with that.

Gee, I’m really seeing now the pearls of wisdom in Judea Pearl’s assertion that to be anti-Zionist is to be anti-Semitic.  It’s nice to see that Shoher can justify murder on “religious grounds.” In main-stream-media-speak when talking of things Judaic this kind of attitude is called “ultra-nationalism.” I’m sure some of you might be able to come up with more accurate appellations. The above quote, btw, is from his post called “The Jewish Way of War” though the headline on the post is a less utlra-nationalistic phrase:  “War, Our Style.”

Elsewhere he tells us: There is no reason to be Jewish other than being religious.

And we also learn that Jews are better than the rest of us.

Why take on the Jewish nationalism rather than any other? Because Jews are smarter, more ethical than any other nation. But most importantly – because Jews are different. Many people just want to be different from those around them, and Jewishness is a scientific theory which establishes such difference. I, for one, never felt any attachment to the Christian crowds around me.

2. Phil Tourney is one of the countless victims of people who think exactly like Obadiah Shoher and Judea Pearl. Phil is a USS Liberty survivor who about a year ago decided he had had enough and decided to call Israel out on the carpet for its brutal attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 which resulted in the deaths of 34 American sailors and the wounding of over 170 more. Phil has a weekly two-hour radio show on RBN that runs each Saturday morning from 10am to noon Central Time. The show is dedicated to the sailors on that ship. You can listen live on the Internet and, if you pay the whopping sum of $1.33 a month, you can download past shows from the archives.

Below is an excerpt of Phil on a rant during part of last week’s show. Worth listening to for the honest, heart-felt quality of his discourse.
