1. For an excellent analysis of the Charles Freeman fiasco, which we here at Mantiq al-Tayr suspect might have been a ruse to help out traitors working in Washington, DC., go here. The case is all over the Internet and with Freeman’s courageous letter having been posted on“Informed Comment” earlier this week, it became inevitable that the Israeli main-stream media would have to cover the issue in the United States. Walter Pincus, writing in the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post today has come to the rescue of, well of people like Xymphora to whom we linked at the top of this paragraph. Good for Mr. Pincus. His article is a must read, not only because it exposes the Israeli lobby, but because it is on the front page of the JWNYTP which means that everyone in and around the beltway who cares about these things will read it. The Lobby now has a major black eye and we hope that Dennis Blair and his ilk will take advantage of this to out the enemies in our midst. It is a target-rich environment.
For now, let’s start here. The Steven Israel-Rahm Emmanuel connection.
Representative Steven Israel’s [Likud, New York] most notable achievement in life was being Michael Collins Piper’s roommate in 1980. After that it is all down hill. He has recently been appointed as a member of the House Select Intelligence Oversight Panel and he has helped lead the charge to shaft Mr. Freeman. Mr. Israel is a shill for the state of Israel and his “objectivity” on intelligence matters involving Israel is questionable. Therefore he should immediately step down. Concerned, he claims, about the “impartiality of US intelligence” Israel contacted Rahm Emmanuel to discuss canceling Freeman’s nomination. Israel could prove his concern about the US intelligence community if he were to contact Rahm (I volunteered to work for the Israeli Army) Emmanuel and demand that Rahm resign his position at the White House. But instead these two Irish Catholics discussed getting rid of Freeman. And Israel succeeded. Both of these men should be investigated by the FBI.
2. Speaking of Michael Collins Piper, below is a brief excerpt from his radio show on the Republic Broadcasting Network from March 11, 2009 in which he comments on the Freeman case and on his former roommate, Steve Israel – who is not to be confused with Steve Rosen who is on trial for espionage on behalf of the state of Israel and who is probably the major leader of the attack on Freeman. Piper starts off talking about him.
3. Breaking the Taboo on Israel’s Spying Efforts on the United States
I have cut and pasted the following comment, originally submitted on the “About” page, here since the comment was specifically about this post.
MT
Amused by your references to the greatest accomplishment of my former room-mate, Steve Israel (Likud-New York).
Best wishes,
Michael Collins Piper
